Best Western Jasper Inn & Suites

We stayed here in late September, a beautifull time to enjoy Jasper. The pool area has been upgraded nicely - it also has a sauna and great steam room. Our room was a suite with a loft that had three single beds. This worked great for our family which has four kids. The room had a kitchen and was cleaned daily. I can't say anything wrong about this hotel - go in expecting a 3 star accommodation and you will be very satisfied.

It is a very short walk to all of the Jasper shops as well as the newly renovated recreation centre which is quite nice.

I was a little dubious of what we would find at this hotel but we were very pleasantly surprised, especially when we were upgraded to one of the best rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The second floor room was very nicely appointed and looked out onto a landscaped courtyard. We used the hotel restaurant for breakfast at a reduced price courtesy of some coupons and found that very satisfactory too. We thought that the flowers added a very nice touch to the property. My only small complaint is the lack of parking in the interior courtyard area which required us to park on the adjacent street.

I really loved this hotel and Jasper for that matter. The hotel really didn't seem chain like at all and we throughly enjoyed our stay. We saw a Momma Grizzly on the drive from Banff and when we got to Jasper we were just surrounded by Elk !! We didn't see any but apparently you can see wild goats in the area too. Take a few days in Jasper and don't be afraid to book at the BW as it is really lovely. Wish we had longer to stay and enjoy ....Thanks :)

I stayed only one night and the staff was very friendly and I was upgraded to executive suite. The room was very nice and the bathroom had a Jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a free upgrade.

Stay at Best Western hotels normally. This is well situated for all the local sites. Hotel does not do breakfast so we bought things at local supermarket. Nice room with all the facilities required. Cleanliness of carpets in the room and corridors wasnt very good. The corridor carpets needed replacint or at least a shampooing. Most of the reception staff were ok but one wasnt helpful when we asked to stay an extra night. So we moved on to another hotel, Lovely area around and we managed to visit some absolutely lovely places. Would certainly recommend the area,

Room Tip: We chose a suite. Very well equipped.

I booked online using the very good Best Western website only a day or two in advance and even in busy August was able to secure a room for two nights. One main attraction was having a kitchen to fix a meal or two although we did dine at their restaurant the first night.

We had an upstairs room with balcony and a loft bedroom at the back of the property. While it looked out over the garden area there was quite a bit of noise the first morning from the parking lot of the adjacent property. Overall the room was nice but starting to show signs of wear and tear. Not a lot of kitchen utensils and equipment but enough to manage a meal.

One issue with the upstairs loft is fairly narrow stairs and the problem of having to go down them to the bathroom if needed. Could be a problem for some especially in the dark.

The hotel is a couple of blocks back from the main highway and railroad so fairly quiet other than the occasional parking lot noises and several blocks from the main part of Jasper and probably not within walking distance for the lazy amongst us.

The restaurant was good and prices reasonable and service friendly and good so no complaints there. Overall, the Jasper Inn is a pretty good choice and up to all Best Western standards.

We stayed three nights in early September in a ground floor (slightly subterranean) queen room with kitchenette. This latter amenity came in useful as breakfast was not included and so we supplied our own from the local supermarket.

The room itself was ok, with a good size sitting area but a rather snug space for the bed itself. Overall it was clean, if a little tired-looking, with a reasonable amount of storage room - we were travelling through the Rockies for a couple of week but seemed to have enough luggage for a trip twice that length.

The room had to be accessed from the car park down two short flights of stairs which might be a problem for someone with mobility issues but aside from that the hotel was well spaced, quiet and had a reasonable bar/restaurant onsite if you did not want to walk down into town.

The hotel is located at one end of Jasper, set back two blocks from the main road in a mainly residential area, and so was about a ten minute walk from the town centre. The town itself offers a good range of bars and restaurants - in addition to the hotel we tried Evil Dave's and La Fiesta both of which were very good and are well worth a visit.

We enjoyed our stay in Jasper and the hotel was a good base from which to explore the Icefields and surrounding area.
