“Perfect stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for a couple days and loved all the aspects of this hotel. The location is wonderful having it be right downtown to not have to worry about parking or getting cabs for a night out. Everything Is in walking distance, which is perfect as this hotel has no amenities within. Something else restaurant right next door if your looking for something that close or across the street an Italian restaurant.

Stayed in suite A. Which is on the main floor ( street level) only this suite and another on this floor, front desk a floor up. I think it is the largest room available with a huge bathroom with a walk in shower, large jacuzzi, king bed, nice sitting room with fireplace and small sink and fridge. And hardwood floors
The room had 2 TVs that are extremely out dated... But really who goes to jasper to watch tv? Very homey and wanted to stay longer.
Wifi is available here.

Our family has booked this inn for at least the last 6 or 7 holiday seasons. We enjoy getting together in Jasper to ski and spa between Xmas and New Years. The place is conveniently located in downtown Jasper so you can walk almost anywhere. L&W Restaurant will give you 10% off your bill if you mention that you are staying at this motel.
There are only 14 rooms, 12 of which are on the 2nd floor and the 2 on the ground floor are suites with a jacuzzi beside the king bed and a separate sitting area with a fireplace and hide-a-bed. There is an elevator for convenience and underground parking but only for small vehicles as the entrance is low. (A Ford Edge will fit).
Each room on the 2nd floor has either 1 king or queen or 2 queen beds and either a claw-foot or soaker tub, some have old-style gas stoves and hardwood floors. Room 11 is handicap friendly with a large shower.
All of this is very nice but it seems that there is NO maintenance happening in the off-season. We stayed in Heritage Luxury Suite A for the 3rd year in a row and the fireplace fan still was not working. (I had mentioned it upon checking out last year). Our duvet cover was also ripped.
The TV's are aging (none are flat screens which you see in rooms now).
The window in my sisters room (#7) would not close, the crank was stripped and the hardwood was lifting.
We will come back next year because this is/was a very nice place (and we love the convenience and the value) but it would be nice if management would take this advice to upgrade and maintain this property.

The second time I have stayed here, and will definitely come back again.Very nice hotel right on main street in Jasper.Close to pretty much everything.Great showers, comfortable beds, very clean. This is not a "party " hotel, like the Whistlers Inn,which I don't mind staying at when I want to "party".This is a quiet hotel for taking it easy and relaxing. They have an underground parkade, but beware, the door is not very high.I scraped the roof of my truck a bit getting in.So I would only use it if you have a car or SUV.There are not really any amenities at this hotel, like a restaurant, bar, pool, weight room etc,but everything is so close, you don't really need them.Overall,I would recommend this hotel to couples or singles who just want to relax.

We stayed here going and coming back from our trip to BC. We had stayed at this inn a few years back and were looking forward to staying here again. This time we booked Suite A. Overall, the stay was good but the inn was a little more worn than I had remembered. There was some broken tiles in the bathroom, a slow drain in the shower, paint worn off on the nightstand and desk, and some ickies that came out of the jetted tub when turned on (although this is a common problem with jetted tubs.) There was also no cold water, wouldn't have been a problem had I not been super thirsty and just wanted a cold glass of water! Just hot water from both taps in the bathroom and bar sink. I thought it was strange that there was no pen and paper on the desk or that the restaurant number to L & W wasn't attached to the menus (you have to look in the phonebook for it.) But enough about the negatives, this hotels has many positives! It is a better than average place to stay. It's quiet. The bed was super comfy. The shower with 5 shower heads is fantastic. It's very clean and comfortable. We have stayed at the Sawridge a few times and I much prefer here. The staff is also very nice. The location is very handy. I definitely recommend staying here even though our experience wasn't perfect.

Room Tip: Get a room with 5 shower heads!

Great location in the heart of Jasper. Small boutique hotel. Stayed in one of the ground floor suites. Comfortable king bed, jacuzzi tub, fireplace in sitting area with a bathroom to die for. Clean, quite and priced right.

Room Tip: Suites are on main floor, facing back alley. Rooms are on 2nd floor overlooking either street or all...

I was in Jasper for a conference and my wife came along. This a small hotel with great staff. Free parking and wifi. Downtown location close to shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We booked this hotel based on reviews we read on TA. We could not have been more pleased!! The location is central and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Our room had a very nice decor, was spacious, with a large bathroom, comfortable beds, and good AC. Wifi and underground parking were included in our room rate. Staff was very friendly. If we ever make it back to Jasper, we will definitely stay here!
