We only managed to book a room at Park Place Inn for one night (5th July) and spent the other two in Jasper at Patricia Lake Lodges. We drove up and were a bit disheartened when we found Park Place Inn was above a row of shops but what a surprise when it turned out to be so luxurious. Our room (No.1) was really lovely, tastefully furnished with great toiletries in the bathroom. It was certainly nicer than our much more expensive hotel in Banff. The staff were friendly and we took their recommendation and had a great meal at La Fiesta. We ate at the bakery just across from the hotel which was very good. Had a wonderful game of golf at Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course in the company of Bob who worked at the course and was the perfect golfing companion giving us lots of information and interesting stories about the area. Only downside was being eaten alive in Jasper by mosquitoes (this is seemingly the worst year they have ever had for them). That aside Jasper is a nice town, if a little on the quiet side for entertainment in the summer, but the surrounding area is spectacular.

We stayed in one of the Luxury Suites - my husband had booked this as a suprise for our honeymoon, and I was not disappointed! The room was stunning, with our own private jacuzzi and huge bed. The shower was amazing - it has 5 heads (2 above and 3 on the wall!! Definitely the best shower I have ever been in! From the outside this place doesn't look like much, but the staff were extremely friendly and certainly our room was immaculate and we couldn't ask for more.
The only small downside is that the room is just off the lobby out to the main street and so on one morning it was quite noisy, but this did not really bother us.
The only other thing to note is that breakfast is not provided - we found out a few days later that this is apparently the case everywhere in Jasper, in order to encourage people to use the cafe's.
If you are staying in Jasper, then stay here - and treat yourself to one of the suites!!

We stayed here for one night in July 2007. We booked it on the recommendations of other Trip Adviser reviews. We booked directly with the hotel and it was well worth the money.
We found the hotel to be just as described- we had room 10 overlooking the front of the hotel (we experienced no noise from the main road-something the other reviews had pointed out). The room had 2 very comfortable double beds and was beautifully appointed. The bathroom was huge but the bath was a bit small for my husband but not to worry as there was a separate shower cubicle that suited him fine.
Staff were friendly and we wished we had stayed here for 2 nights as we loved Jasper.
We followed other recommendations and had a meal at Earls, a 2 minute walk across the street. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was bought and taken back to our room from the Bear Paw Bakery- as you come out of hotel turn right and follow road to Cedar Avenue - turn right .It's open very early in the morning. We loved the cinnamon buns and the raspberry and white chocolate scones were to die for.
If we return to Jasper we would stay here again for sure but for longer than one night.

This is a boutique hotel and all the rooms are top notch. Because it is a small hotel, it is very hard to find a room for more than a night in the height of Summer. The staff are very friendly and the beds are extremely comfortable. It is located in downtown Jasper so noise could be a factor but its location is fantastic if that is where you want to be. This is a great place to be without having to pay top dollar.

After reading the reviews, I booked a stay in one of Park Place Inn's luxury suites for a few days during my honeymoon. With the stellar reviews, I figured a few days in one of their best rooms would be well worth it. I was wrong.

The suite was on the ground floor, and the only view was of the back alley. There was also a gift shop which opened every day around 10am that was literally right outside the doors to the luxury suites. You can hear all the noise from the gift shop and street. The "huge jacuzzi tub" advertised seemed to be expensive, but it was smaller, uncomfortable, and did not contain the water very well. Additionally the fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work, so it steamed up quite fast.

The only good things I experienced were the location and the 5-head shower.

If the rooms upstairs are as nice, I think they might still be worth a stay. I would just avoid the luxury suites.

We were disappointed with how quiet and sleepy Jasper was, but this hotel room more than made up for it. Fabulous bed, amazing Jacuzzi (started each evening with a bottle of champagne in it!) and lovely spacious room. All clean and very high standard. Shower was fantastic, toiletries the best of our trip, just so nice. Only very small gripe was the dire hairdryer! Why hotels think these little fixed to the wall, affairs that blew less than I could have done, can dry hair, I'll never know. It was so cold out that I didn't want to go out with wet hair and it took ages to dry it. But that is the only and as I say, very small gripe in a fabulous place.

We had an excellent and relaxing stay. Friendly, easy to find staff. Hotel is very clean and well taken care of.

Despite being in the heart of Jasper, it is fairly sound proof. Room with jacuzzi tub was wonderful. Great for couples needing a getaway.
