Austrian Haven Bed and Breakfast

We arrived to Jasper planning to stay for 1 night and head down to Lake Louise. When we arrived to Jasper there was a huge snow storm causing the roads to be closed. We were very lucky to be staying in such a wonderful B&B as we ended up staying in Jasper for 4 nights due to closed roads, derailed trains and cancelled buses.
Austrian Haven was extremely clean, had all the required utilities, kept us very warm, the owner even leant her gum boot to all three of us so we could walk around the snowy streets.
The location is excellent, about 1.5 blocks to the centre of town.
Breakfast is included - self service with a selection of eggs, cereals, breads, milk, juice, etc.
We would stay there again upon returning to Jasper as she is very hospitable and was a lovely host.
It was very quite and we had fabulous sleep ins. Very comfortable beds too.

Annelies is a really nice host and she has a very friendly dog! The B & B is perfect!
The room is so beautiful!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here for three nights a few years ago.
We will come back next time when we visit Jasper again!

We really enjoyed our short one night stay in the honeymoon suite. The room is extremely large and comfortable. It was wonderful to eat breakfast with the mountains in view. Annelies is a superb hostess with lots of stories to tell and boundless energy. It is conveniently located to the shops and restaurants. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

My wife and I spent four nights at the Austrian Haven just last week and felt like we were visiting with a family member and not staying in a place of business.

We had a bit of a harrowing ride up from Jasper, being caught in a bit of a snow storm so when we appeared at Annelise's doorstep, we looked a little bedraggled. Her major concern was that she wasn't fast enough to help us in with our suitcases. She welcomed us with open arms and a warm hug. After being shown to the Honeymoon room, Annelise gave us the lay of the land, where to eat and what to do and see. After returning from dinner, we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked banana bread. A short while later, there was a quiet knock on our door and announcement that "our banana bread was ready". The next evening, another knock and "I made some baked apples for you". She provided a nice variety of foods for a continental breakfast and assured us that if we needed something, just ask for it.

She made sure we were comfortable and cared for and treated us like we were a family member. The house is very clean and well kept up, warm and inviting. She has a huge heart and is a bundle of energy....always making sure things were done correctly.

The next time we are in Jasper, we will be staying here, no doubt about it.....if available.

We stayed three nights, and enjoyed every single minute. That B&B is not B&B in Jasper is definitely not Annelies' fault, so whoever does not know the lay of the land should not attribute this local stupidity to the extremely helpful landlady. We can definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants a warm, cozy place to stay with lots of helpful hints on what to do and where to do it :-))

Annelies is a true gift. She makes Austrian Haven a special place to stay while in Jasper. My wife and I spent a week there recently and it was wonderful. The room was spacious, with a great view of the mountains. The garden deck area was a nice place to sit during the afternoon after hikes and enjoy a glass of wine. And, as I said, Annelies makes the whole place just like home (if your home is always neat and tidy, warm and inviting)!!!

Stayed 3 nights in the honeymoon suite. Analee is an older woman in a teenagers body, she can do it all and do it perfectly. Safe neighborhood. Her yard is a garden. Big variety of fruit in your room, milk, juices real cream for your coffee. She gives you your privacy, but is there when you need her. You will love it!!!!!
