“Terrific Haven!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

We enjoyed a very memorable 2 night stay with Annelies at her Austrian Haven. Her meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of our long weekend enhanced our experience in every way. Both honeymoon suites are tastefully decorated, extremely clean and highly spacious. She spoiled us by providing fresh fruits every day, fresh milk, juices, many varieties of cereals, coffee, tea and hot chocolate for our 16 and 13 year old sons. The home is conveniently located within a short walking distance to the town area where there is an abundance of restaurants and quaint little shops. The view is breathtaking from the large suites upstairs and the windows allow for abundant basking in the autumn sunshine. Annelies has parking available directly in front of the home to ensure that loading and unloading of supplies is easy. Annelies, the wonderful and honest hostess, is kind and positive - an inspiring personality who definitely changes the lives of every person who has the good fortune to meet her. We loved reading the journal entries submitted by guests from all over the world, who shared their experiences of Austrian Haven in Jasper. We are already planning to return again - the four of us had the entire upstairs all to ourselves and we really appreciated that our privacy was respected in every way. Annelies was flexible and happy to meet our tiny requests with a generous smile. Austrian Haven will certainly become your home away from home - stay here, you will leave happy - guaranteed. Our Thanksgiving Long Weekend was fabulous because we were able to stay here.

Room Tip: Choose one of the rooms upstairs, most definitely worth the extra investment with the views and suns...

This is my third stay with the remarkable Annelies at her Austrian Haven. The hospitality, quality of rooms, attention to detail, variety of breakfast items and mountain location are all exceptional! The back garden is a sight to behold. The 120 glorious potted plants, small pond, park-like seating transport you to your own private mountain glade. Call now as this 'haven' booked well in advance!

Room Tip: Book well in advance as Annelies' rooms are reserved well in advance. Located within the commun...

The stay was a dream. Anneliese was so reassuring , helpful . She could not do enough to enhance our stay. The room unbelievable... so roomy, clean, elegant. I felt staying in the honey moon suit that I was in a 6 star hotel. Anneliese was so gracious and kind in our requests.
Wonderful location, pretty floral garden settling. So glad we found this haven.

Room Tip: loved the honey moon suit

We stayed at the Austrian Haven for four nights in August. 2013. Anneliese is a most
gracious hostess and extremely helpful. Our room was very large, comfortable, and
exceptionally clean. The location is less than two blocks from the business district
and parking was not a problem. The flower garden is awesome. We would
definitely return and cannot but give this B&B our highest recommendation.

Excellent, excellent, excellent!
We stayed at this nice place for 3 nights and wish to stay more. Our host Annelies couldn't have been more welcoming, attentive, and generous. Our room was the best we ever had: super-clean and huge room, big windows with a breathtaking view of mountains right from the comfortable bed. In addition, there is a shelf with books telling you about the wildlife and hiking trails across the Rockies which I personally enjoyed. The room was refreshed by Annalies every morning. The garden outside the house so beautiful!
Each morning, Annelies showed us the best location to visit and hike, so we didn't have to spend time for the planning.
Enjoyed every moment!
Highly recommended place.

I must first confess to having waited a few months to post this review. It is also my first review on TripAdvisor. I don't normally post reviews, but my stay (and my experience) at the Austrian Haven Bed and Breakfast was exceptional. Annalies is so sweet and gracious that you will like her instantly. She also is an excellent tour guide/consultant, as she has spent many years in the area and has a great sense of which area attractions will be well suited for you and your travel companion(s). What struck me most about Annalies is how focused she is on making sure that each guest feels welcome and comfortable. During my stay, Annalies received a somewhat negative review that someone posted on this site. Annalies recalled the guest, saying that although she tried her very hardest, he just seemed like one of those persons who was impossible to please...who would (in my words) remain grumpy and dissatisfied no matter how hard anyone tried to change that. But Annalies was still genuinely troubled by the negative feedback. I told her not to be, because if she offered every guest the exceptional hospitality that she did for me and my partner, she had nothing to worry about. Her B&B is very clean, with many homespun touches that are a welcome change from a hotel or motel. The location is extremely convenient...a quick walk to the center of town and an abundance of local shops and restaurants. Ask Annalies for recommendations on dining...she will even phone ahead to the restaurant to let them know you are coming, and offer suggestions (based on her own experience) on what you might enjoy ordering. All in all, I can't say enough good things about what a terrific experience I had, thanks to Annalies. She has a gift, and has definitely found her "calling" in caring for travelers from all over the world.

Room Tip: The front room upstairs has a beautiful view and a very comfortable bed.

A most amazing lady hosts this incredible "haven". The property was lovely and we had a wonderful large room with bath. Her flower garden was not to be believed. All ingredients were in our room to prepare and formally "break fast" and it was just right to begin our day. You must visit with this lady and hear of her incredible talents and courage to immigrate to Canada with two very small children. She sews, architecturally designs, interior decorates, wood carves, plumbs, tiles, sings, acts, embroiders, needlepoints, makes rugs, designs furniture (our wonderful bed,) etc etc Her garden consumes about six hours per day.. This was B&B number 27 and one of the best.

Room Tip: We stayed in the front upstairs room and loved it. Shades open from the top or bottom and there is a...
