Description: Canada's first brewery in a national park, we've been creating a community focused beer culture since 2005. Pop in for a pint and inspired pub fare in Jasper, Alberta.

Read about the brewery before we came away and it was a 'must visit' place. Firstly for the beer which was excellent. A micro brewery in the best tradition with tours by the head brewer available. Not just your average lagers but a great IPA, a honey flavoured beer and a creamy one. Beer was a tad on the cold side but that was understandable. Food was pub grub but better than your average. Portions were massive and my wife and I had to share a main. Wrong time of year to judge atmosphere and it was -30C outside. Very friendly staff and when you chatted about the beer they knew their stuff and brought you a taster glass before you decided. We went there twice to eat and drink during our short stay and would recommend you visit if passing through. Three times if you count the quick sneaky beers as our train was delayed out of Jasper!

Went there both nights of our stay and one afternoon - as there isn't a lot of craft beer to be had in Jasper. Beer was excellent and - for Canadian beer - was actually quite tasty for our European- non-lager preferences. Ate there once and had a damn fine burger so happy to recommend.

Every January our family comes to Jasper and always look forward to what used to be one of the best burgers in town. We were terribly disappointed this year when we had one of the worst meals at the Jasper Brewing Company.

The kids meal used to be fantastic with grilled chicken, asparagus, grilled peppers and a cone of fries. This time it was a piece of cold, under seasoned chicken and a mound of cold fries...not a veggie in site. The burger and salad I ordered was cold and the salad could have come out of a bag. My husband's burger was also cold and same with the fries. The most disappointing was the reaction to sending the food back. We were told by the manager that it was hot coming off the grill, so he didn't understand how it could have been cold...hello, terrible service. He proceeded to offer to heat it up because it was going to take a long time to get another and it was getting quite busy. Needless to say, we left without having a meal. Even the six sampler of beer was just okay.

We will definitely not be going back next year. It's too bad that such a great restaurant had gone completely downhill. You would be better off walking down the street to Jasper Pizza.

Great food, great beer, and an excellent, cozy atmosphere!

The service was excellent and we loved that they had a fire going. We originally were just going to stop in for a quick bite to eat but instead we spent over two hours there because we were enjoying sitting by the fire and taking in the views of the snow falling outside so much.
