I have been going to MLFC for more than 30 years. There have been a number of owners over that time and the experience and fishing were always terrific. Now it is even better. The philosophy of the owners is to pamper their guests and they do it in style. They provide excellent food and service.
It is so relaxing and enjoyable to get up to a tasty breakfast, hike to a nearby like and spend the day fishing with a packed lunch. The fishing depends on the lake. Some will always produce numerous fish in the approximately one pound category. They are Kamloops trout and you will know there is a fish on the line. Your pulse will race as you try to bring the fish in to the boat.
Other lakes provide you with an opportunity to land 2-6 pound trout. Wall fish are 4 pounds or more. On the other hand, you might be skunked that day. Usually, you bring home at least one fish from these lakes.
After a great day of fishing you head back to the camp for a hot shower and a delicious meal. There is time in the evening to try your luck again at nearby lakes.
MLFC is a terrific vacation. I can hardly wait till we go again this summer.

My fishing friends and I have spent one week each summer at Meadowlake Fishing Camp for the past 40 years. We have gone through several owners. The present owners, however, Francesco and Uli , with a new lakeside lodge , have turned the camp into a wonderful fishing destination. With several high lakes available, they have also kept the rugged ambience intact with individual log cabbin accomodations. The wonderful meals are almost worth the trip in themselves. A variety of delicious breakfasts, packed lunches for the fishing trips, and then topped off with a great dinner to swap the daily fisherman's lies and have a dessert. The morning hot coffee and home made cookies will get you happily on the trail. Two lakes are right beside the camp itself. I cannot more highly recommend Meadow Lake Fishing Camp to the most serious minded Rainbow Trout fishermen.

We had a very enjoyable stay at MLFC. The service is excellent because the lodge owners really care about the comfort and the experience of their guests. The accommodations are good and the food is very good. You probably will put on a kilo in a week! I recommend MLFC most highly and I plan to return.

Uli and Fransisco are always smiling and ready to put out extra effort to make sure that our stay with them is the best. The food is wonderful and is always hot. The food is made fresh everyday and at no time did we leave the table hungry......if I desired more dessert it was always there. Warm cookies and coffee in the morning before breakfast was a good touch as I like to saunter along the lak shore and watch the Loons in the AM with fresh coffee and homeade cookies. The new lodge fits in with the environment well. It has a big deck overlooking the lake and there is always some type of wildlife activity to watch. The area abounds with lakes and photo opportunities are everywhere.

A group of us from Olympia, WA including wives and children have been going nearly every year to Meadow Lake Fishing Camp for nearly forty years. If you are looking for the experience of great fishing in row boats ( no outboard motors allowed) along with the comfort of clean log cabins with no electricity or phones, just peace and quiet, this is the place for you. You will be stepping back in time and experience how it was decades ago.

At the same time with the new lodge, you can enjoy some modern convienences along with fantastic meals prepared by Uli and Francesco.

Several years ago our group which ranges between 10 and 15 people decided we needed to try several other fishing camps in British Columbia so we could compare them to Meadow Lake. Without any doubt Meadow Lake was the winner by far.
