Having grown up in Malaysia I'm suspicious of Thai/Malaysian food that usually resembles swill shovelled to hapless masses who don't know any better. Frankly the state of Thai food in the Vancouver area is embarrassing almost to the extent that one feels compelled to apologize for such travesty masquerading as "food"
Fortunately Chillies is an exception to the rule that Vancouver-area Thai food must taste like it came out of a jar or be prepared by robots according to some genero-meter expectation. Unfortunately one must travel all the way to Chilliwack for such superb food. But if you do, or you're in the area you won't be disappointed.
One can't lose with any of the dishes. The downside is that you must then be prepared to forever be disappointed by other Thai restaurants
