We had stayed stayed twice during our last year's trip and were very satisfied. So we came back this year for another few nights on the way up and down to/from the Arctic. The rooms are very attractive with a nice bathroom. Excellent continental breakfast. We didn't eat at the restaurant, as it was closed in wintertime for obvious reasons (not that many tourists make it to Dawson in wintertime - which is clearly a mistake!!). The restaurant will reopen this spring with a new concept. The hosts were charming and very helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the area near and far and they offered us helpful advice on what to see and where to stay. We will come back to Aurora Inn next time in Dawson.

We stayed there for one night. The rooms are offering exactly what you are looking for. Breakfast was just great, especially the bred!

Had a nice conversation during breakfast with the owners. I'm sure they won't have that much time every time, but the winter season isn't that busy.

Beautiful inn in Dawson City, Yukon. My son and I stayed there in late August, 2013. Very nice room, beds were ok. High ceilings like in the old days I'm assuming. All very clean and well decorated throughout the inn. No air conditioning but we didn't need it however there was a ceilng fan. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

The continental breakfast was a bit pricey ($13 I think). They placed your food at your table and it consisted of home-made breads, sliced meat, cheese, fruit, coffee and juice. Very nice and VERY good but we could cross the street to go to the Westmark for an all-you-can eat buffet breakfast for $15 which was very good. Now I'm all about helping the smaller businesses versus the big companies, but that was quite the difference so we went to the Westmark for breakfasts for the rest of our stay.

The atmosphere at the inn was extremely friendly, laid back and welcoming. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

We spent two nights in this Inn during the second half of August and are fully satisfied of our choice. After walking in Dawson City "unpaved" streets, we believe that it is the best place to stay in this small town. This Inn is very very clean: the lobby/entrance, the breakfast room and the room itself. The breakfast is very good and has to be ordered the preceeding evening before 7 or 8pm. The staff is kind and efficient and any service requsted is provided with a smile. If we have the opportunity to come back to Dawson, we will return to the Aurora Inn with no hesitation. One thing we could say is that, although on several brochures it is mentioned that French is spoken in this Inn,we can say that it is not correct. So, we would suggest that the languages spoken list is updated. The other point that is useful to note is that there is no restaurant anymore in this facility which obliged us to have diner outside. Not a big deal, but less convenient when we like eating where we sleep.

Before coming here, we wondered why they said we'd have to remove our shoes in the lobby. Dawson City's streets are unsaved and muddy when raining! They have a room to place the shoes in, and complimentary Crocs to wear! The lobby and dining area are very cozy, with a seating area and large TV. The rooms are upstairs. Our room was very nice, with a double bed, night tables, small desk and table to place our bag, and a small TV. There was a ceiling fan, and a closet. The bathroom was nice-sized with a shower stall, hair dryer, shampoo, lotions, and a rag for cleaning dirty shoes or bags! The breakfast was not included, but offered to guests. I recommend it, as I saw other people on the street looking for a place to eat -- it didn't look like there were tons of choices. The breakfast must be requested the night before, as they bake their breads fresh. There was a choice of breads, OJ, coffee or tea, sliced cheeses and ham, and a fresh fruit cup with yogurt. It was different and delicious! If we were ever coming back to Dawson, we would stay here again.
