Driving up the Bonanza Creek road is a pleasant outing and brings back childhood memories of the time my father mined there. We lived in a small group of cabins making up our camp and in the quiet evenings you could hear #4 Dredge clunking away as it mined the creek bed dumping the rocks out making the tailing piles. Today the dredge is an historic site and if you wish to pan for gold, Claim 33 is open for business during the summer season.
