“Enjoyed the mineral water pools and Harrison lake.”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Good for a long weekend relaxing getaway. 5 mineral pools for the entire family to enjoy. good hotel for families. lots of activities around the hotel and by the lake. rooms are average, nothing special, but the outdoor grounds are rustic and clean. best part of the trip, enjoying the mineral pools.

The hotel is fundamentally quite a smart establishment but the resort is very much a family resort and the hotel seemed to be full of very noisy children who were running riot everywhere, so that it felt more like a holiday camp than a hotel. There also seemed to be a lot of people taking dogs through the hotel, which we found unpleasant. We only stayed one night, and maybe for that reason we were given one of the poorer rooms which was in desperate need of refurbishment, with old furniture and fittings and an unpleasant musty smell. The weather was very hot but there was no air-con and the fan supplied was ineffective.

I have stayed at this resort many times over the past four years and it just keep degrading before my eyes. Check in is painful, the rooms have paper thin walls and the parking is impossible.

Yes....the hot springs are amazing...this is the ONLY redeeming quality for the amount of money we spent.

We arrived tired and hot at 9pm on a long weekend. Check in took 15 minutes and then they couldn't park my car as the valet kept disappearing. Fine. We went to the room and was told that although it had no air conditioning, it should be cooling off. We walked into the room that was a sauna. The windows were opened and we attempted to get the fans to work. To No avail. We all slept above the covers. The room was SO tired and I had a lovely view of a roof.

Although I love the hot springs...I doubt I will return.

PS: I would love my deposit back! I used my debit/visa and they charged it an extra 200 bucks...I have yet to receive this money back.

Summer is a busy time in Harrison and check ins do sometimes take more than five minutes. We offer a variety of rooms at the resort. When guests make a reservation, our representatives do tell them whether or not there is AC in the requested room. The only rooms without AC are in the oldest part of the resort. Please note there are no "extra charges" on our guests' credit cards. At check in, a $200 deposit is "captured" and then released when a guest checks out. This is customary with all hotels across North America. This may take a few days to show on your statements. If you have any further questions please contact us directly so we can assist you. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Great time away at this beautiful hotel. It is an older hotel, but with wings of very new areas where most of the rooms are located.
The massive outdoor mineral pool is a must do at this Hotel. Relax, unwind and enjoy! It's very soothing and easily puts you to sleep at night after a soak.
Everyone wears soft white bath robes to the pools. There is 3 pools outdoors, and the inside pools as well. There is a lovely Spa if you need further pampering. It's a nice spot for a Honeymoon as there is lots of quiet places to relax.

Being it was summer time here, it was very warm, everyone was walking up and down the streets of Harrison enjoying the lake views, swimming in the lake, and grabbing an ice cream or gelato. There are many good restaurants within walking distance, and little stores to browse through too.
Our room was on the 6th floor in the West wing over looking the mountains and lake. So quiet, and beautiful to sit on the outdoor deck of our room in the sunshine. Our breakfast was included in our room price and ate a nice buffet at the Lakeshore Restaurant on the 2nd floor.
There is golfing close by, and two Provincial parks close drive up the east side of Harrison Lake - to Hicks Lake and Deer Lake. - nice spot to go for a picnic.
Also, don't forget to stop by the carved statue of the friendly Sasquatch as you enter the Village of Harrison Hot Springs. The Sasquatch has his arm out ready for you to sit down to take that tacky tourist picture. The sign and carved Sasquatch were carved by the fellow from the HGTV show "Timber Kings" TV show which is based in Williams Lake, BC. It's worth stopping by to see this work of art.
Also being summer time, there is lots and lots of things for children, teens to do here. I could see family reunions happening. There is a spray park on the premises of the hotel, and out in the lake is a massive Harrison Watersports Adventure. (harrisonwatersports.com) which include jet skis, water park, banana tube rides and blaster bumper boats - all very colourful and lots of kids on them daily.
Enjoy Harrison Hot Springs Hotel in the summer or even in the winter as a getaway, as it's only about max 1.5 hours from Vancouver, BC.

Room Tip: Lake view room or a room in one of the new towers...

Just spent a few days at the Harrison Hot Spring Resort and it was a wonderful break. The rooms, pools and access to amenities made for a very pleasant stay. Dinner in the Copper Room was a special treat and very enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed. It is a wonderful location for all age groups. I highly recommend a visit.

Room Tip: The west wing is very nice. We tend to book rooms with direct pool access and patios.

We booked 3 rooms for my parents' 50th Anniversary. The only nice room was the suite. The two other rooms East Lake Tower view, were tired and worn-out. They are in desperate need of updating, and are not worth the current cost. Our room had a tear in the wallpaper, filthy carpets, filthy windows, and garbage left in the closet. The bathroom needs an overhaul. The sink didn't drain properly and the shower's hot and cold were labelled backwards. Towels are small and threadbare. The rooms are dated . The suite was much better. Roomy, clean, and beautiful bathroom.
The billing system is absolutely archaic and confusing. We booked packages that included meals, and yet we were charged for meals, and then had charges reversed. We are still watching VISA for double charges.
The Copper Room is the outstanding feature at this hotel. It is a wonderful restaurant and dance venue. They are welcoming to all and announce all special occasions. Great food as well. The Live band is fantastic.
