Harrison Heritage House and Cottages
Reviewed 2 May 2014

My wife and our 10 month old son went to Harrision Hot Spring in March and stayed in this place for two nights. The cottage we stayed in was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. It was comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed to cook the food we brought with us. They even provided a baby sleeper for our son.
The host respected our privacy and never bothered us during our stay so we felt really at home. Granted that Harrison Hot Spring had very little activity at that time of the year, we were glad we went and that we stayed at this place. It was a couple of blocks from the public hot spring pool so was really convenient. I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: We stayed at Willow Cottage, if I remember correctly. It was the one right next to the space where...

The excellent location, charming accommodations and privacy brought us back for another visit. We love that we can park our car at check-in, walk across the street to the beach, shops and restaurants and not get back in our car until we leave! Sonya is very respectful of our privacy and the accommodations are very clean. We'll be back.

It was easy to make a reservation through this property's on-line website; the owners' response was prompt and helpful. We were delighted with our cottage: cozy but plenty of room for the two of us, double soaker tub, gas fireplace, ample queen-size bed. The "kitchen" is abbreviated but useful: refrigerator-freezer combination, two-burner hot plate, toaster oven and microwave oven. A simple meal can easily be prepared here with the provided collection of pots, pans, plates and flatware. We discovered that the top of the armoire had not been dusted in a long while when we pulled our bags down from it and found them covered in dust. The grounds feel like those of a private home, which was the original purpose of these buildings. The staff has a high regard for the privacy of those staying in the cottages. We will definitely stay here again.

This year, we changed our Christmas Getaway destination and we were all very happy we chose the Harrison Heritage House. Four friends spent two nights in the cozy Cedar cottage and we were very impressed with the attention to detail- we loved the tiny Christmas tree, the complimentary coffee and treats, and all the kitchen supplies. The cabin was VERY clean, comfortable, private and inviting. The location is excellent. Although only a short walk to the public pool, coffee house and the big hotel, it felt like we were out in the woods. Thank you Sonja for being so welcoming!

We stayed 4 nights in the Riversedge Cottage for a local getaway. We were looking for peace and quiet and that is exactly what we got - absolutely no noise (of course it is off-season) and just perfect relaxation. The property is within walking distance of anything we needed.

The cottage is extremely well equipped - even aluminum foil, plastic food wrap and sandwich baggies are provided in the kitchen, as well as a vacuum cleaner, broom etc - everything we needed to be self-sufficient. Although there is no service provided in the cottage, towels are changed daily if needed, and you just have to put your garbage and recycling out on the porch before 11am, and they are taken care of.

We will definitely return, and would highly recommend the property for those looking to get away from it all for either a short or a long stay.
