“wear slippers”
Reviewed 6 October 2008

Very much like previous reviews have stated.
Georgous lake view. Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.
Seriously in need of a good scrub down and proper cleaning of floors, walls exc, Like was previously posted, looks clean enough when you come in. Clean towels, shower exc, but you don't want to walk on the floors without shoes or slippers.
Overall was a good experience and we enjoyed Harrison. The sandscluptures were truly amazing to see.

This hotel is in the best location and is quite new. We stayed in a lakeview jr. suite on the second floor with a huge balcony overlooking the lake and mountains---beautiful view!!

BUT, as another reviewer here said "...lots of big spills and marks that should be removed as part of regular maintenance. The walls and cupboards are also marked and dirty - demonstrating a disregard for anything more than surface cleaning..." I couldn't have said it better myself, so I didn't.

The hotel at first glance is very nice and modern, but once you're in your room, you start to realize how poor the housekeeping is. After walking around the room in bare feet for 15 minutes, my feet were black. The cupboards and walls were dirty, balcony was full of cob webs, just black dirt all over.

All it would take is better, more disciplined cleaning and the place would sparkle. But right now cleanliness is a serious issue and makes this hotel not worth the money by a long shot. Hopefully management will take note and make some improvements. I won't stay here again until they improve......it's not worth the money.

The room was lovely but the worst part was that the air conditioners were broken. The hotel's solution was to use portable fans, which were very noisy at night. The temperature was in the low 30's during the day so the air conditioners were a must. I couldn't sleep because of the noisy fan. Thankfully, I stayed on the ground floor. The hotel offered no compensation for this. No one from the management or guest relations have responded to my email, which I sent to them from their web site. Do they even care?

We honestly believe your feedback should be directed for another accommodatiion property in Harrison Hot Springs.
In our 5 years operation, the Harrison Beach Hotel has never encountered any maintenance issues with our air-conditioning units. In addition our Hotel amenities included a outdoor hot tub. We have no hot pools.

Thank you.

When we first saw the hotel the building looked a bit uninviting mainly because of the big ramp in the front. Our one night stay was quite enjoyable. The location is great, our suite was spacious with modern clean furniture and a large window. The check-in area is rather small but the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't feel like going out for dinner so we ordered some delicious pizza from the place on the street right behind the hotel's outdoor parking lot. I think the this hotel is probably the best one in town.

We stayed at Harrison Beach Hotel for the Synchronized Skating National Competition. Our suite was great and we loved the view with the mountains in the background. The Staff were great making sure we had anything we needed. We loved the town and all the quaint little shops. Our whole stay was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming west.

this hotel is awful. totally misleading from how they advertise it, it is in no way luxurious or elegant and completely lacks any kind of quality. i have been in super 8 motels that have been more luxurious than this place. in addition, the town is a dump and is not worth going to. the sand sculptures are amazing but there is no need to spend a night in harrison.

Location :
In front of the lake. Be careful to choose a room with lake view. The back of the building is not really nice (small street and car park)

Rooms :
As the hotel is only 2 or 3 years old, furnishing is brand new, every thing clean and up to date. Only problem was the front to ceiling window, which lock was broken (we suspect the room was "visited" in the past). Really annying when you ask in the booking to be on a high floor.

Value for money :
Really the main issue according to us. 180 CAD for the room we had (ground floor, on the car park) is really a scandal : no view, no light, ...

Services :
Pool is small, with no view. Not very nice.
It must be said that personal on duty was helpful, as they did grant us access to the office computer for us to check our e-mails.

Overall : really pricey. We also had a dinner in the nearby "spa" hotel. Food was disgusting (so-called italian buffet). We found during our stay no other better alternative, and were finally very disappointed with our stay.
