“Good Pub Food”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

On our recent stay at Harrison Hot Springs we were looking for a reasonably priced late lunch. We were too early for a lot of the restaurants. We happened upon the Old Settler Pub and were quite pleasantly surprised. There was a good selection of food on the menu and food and service was good . The place has a great ambiance being a log structure. Was a pleasant way to end our visit .

“Great food, nice ambiance”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We were excited to be able to check out the pub this trip as it was the first time in 15 years we were vacationing in Harrison without under age children in tow. We were not disappointed. The server was fun and helpful, the food was excellent.

“A warm and tasty early-evening break.”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

We (two seniors and daughter) dropped into the Old Settler Pub for early-evening appetizers and draught beer during a recent stay in Harrison (early-October).

It was a Tuesday, just after 4:30am, and the place was already doing quite a brisk business. And before we left, it was definitely bordering on full. We were a touch surprised, but impressed with how many people streamed in through the front doors during our (rather short) stay there.

Is there something about dining out on Tuesday evenings in Harrison Hot Springs that we did not know? We did notice that the popular pizza place was closed (that's a Tuesday thing for them). The latter did catch us by surprise, and I suspect a few others as well, judging by the number of people we saw stop there, and then continue on -- I'll bet several of the latter, like us, went on to the Pub.

The food "specials of the day" were wings (appetizer), and salisbury steak (dinner). We were not looking for a meal, so opted for a couple of orders of honey-garlic wings, the daughter added French onion soup, and we all ordered the "beer-on-tap special of the day".

Despite the bar already being quite-busy, we found the service to our table prompt & accommodating, the food, well-prepared, hot & tasty, and the brews cold & refreshing.

Our visit to the Old Settler Pub had not been planned, but it turned out to be a much-enjoyed 'break', and one we will plan to do during our next stay in Harrison.

“Wing Night”
Reviewed 4 October 2013 via mobile

All summer long this has been our favourite stop for Wings and a beer. No matter how busy it is the delivery time is always quick for our treat night at The Old Settler Pub. The only complaint I have is yah maybe check out your fridge temps guys & gals. I only drink one kind of beer and that's Budweiser and I always have to ask for it to bet on ice for abit otherwise it's not cold enough for my liking! Staff are always great and the atmosphere is great after I long week of waiting for our wing night. Thanks keep it up but keep the prices a tad bit lower and you'll get allot more local business to haul you through those long wet months! Cheers

“Good Service, food just ok...”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

We spent a few days in Harrison Hot Springs., Our dinner at the Pub was ok, but really over priced for what was served.. Beef dip at 14.99 was short on beef, & the salad was brown..my hubby's burger was good, but overall we found the experience very average. Our Server was great, but seriously..$6.99 for a Budwiser..really...
