We were allocated this place as our overnight stop on the train trip from Banff to Vancouver.
We were very pleasantly surprised. A large room with a very comfortable bed and a bath to soak in after being on the train all day. Nice views over the river - it really is river-side. Not big-city modern but quite ok.
We did not feel like a longish walk into town for dinner, it was about 840pm by now, so settled for the restaurant next door - which might be part of the hotel, am not sure. Another pleasant surprise. We had a great outdoor table , again river-side, good choices on the menu. very good meals and pleasant service.
Could not be happier with our all too short stay in Kamloops, which is quite a large city - pop about 90,000. Obviously much more to it than an overnight train stop - pity we could not see more - bus to train collected us at 720am.
