Meeting my daughter here in Kamloops and stumbled upon this little gem of a place. It's just a bit above average in terms of 'hotelness' (clean and updated rooms - mine had a little kichenette) but the thing that surprised me was the locale as it's right on the Thompson River. You can get a room with a view overlooking the river or get one on the lawn level.
Such a beautiful location. I was a little worried about the bridge traffic noise but it was negligible. After staying in other hotels in Kamloops before that were close to the Trans Canada highway, I found this one to be of great value and in a sweet location. And yes the price was very right.
Only one strike and it's very minor. The top wardrobe cabinet hadn't been dusted in a while. But if you're a short chamberlain, I suppose this could be overlooked :-)
I'm here for 4 more nights and I'm looking forward to it! More
