“This must be the best B&B in Kamloops”

We chose the Riverside B&B from reading Trip Advisor and it lived up to the reviews. We had a queen-size room which was well appointed, with an ensuite bathroom, and it faced the garden towards the river. The air conditioning was very much appreciated on a hot July day. Cynthia made us very welcome and cooks a hearty breakfast. Being able to share her garden, deck area and the river swing were the highlights. Cooling off by swinging into the river was great fun!

I could barely contain my excitement and awe upon driving into the front of The Riverside B&B.

Riverside is perfect both for a family vacation and a couples romantic getaway.

The front yard had a sunken trampoline; which is level with the grass. A magnificant idea because if you fall off the trampoline, it wont be from feet above the ground. This would definitely take a lot of worry off parents with children. There is also a basketball hoop and some balls available for your enjoyment.

The beautiful backyard had everything I could ever imagine: lush soft green grass, berries for picking, many sitting areas, a private pier along the lake where you could lay and tan. There are also tubes and life jackets and a swing rope for those who want to enjoy fun in the water. It has a great mountain view.

At night you can see the moon, stars and moutain reflecting off the calm lake - a beautiful sight.

The hot tub was great to sit in at the end of the night. You could see the beautifully starlit sky. It really is paradise here.

The Riverside owner really thought of everything; all the small touches made such a huge difference. Cynthia is so kind, and an AMAZING chef. If you check out stay in Kamloops, this is the place to be. Don't forget to take advantage of the available breakfast. Top notch.

I can't wait until our next visit!

I don't usually choose B&Bs when traveling, but had my 80 yea old Oma along, so thought it would be a nice change to plan a stopover en route from Calgary to the coast. TripAdvisor reviews led us to Kamloops and to Riverside. All the rooms face the fast flowing waters of the Thompson River. Lounge on the dock, on the raised patio, by the koi pond, or at your own table and chairs beside your room. Room was very clean and basic It had many little extras I did not expect, like wine and snacks. Cynthia had some great recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was one of the vest I've ever had. Have her show you how the Tibetan singing bowl works. We will make Riverside B&B a regular stop whenever we can. Very convenient location right beside the Trans Canada Highway.

After anight in an awful room else where in kamloops anything was going to be an improvement but I actually can't fault riverside. The setting, the room and the service were superb. Little touches like a card on the door saying "welcome Jo" were just lovely. There was no room in the inn my second night but I was accommodated in a caravan in the garden which was almost as good. My only regret is I had to be at work before the cooked breakfast, but was provided with a lovely plate of fruit and yoghurt instead. Practically perfect in every way!!

We decided to stop halfway on the drive from Jasper to Vancouver. What a good decision, and great choice of B&B! Riverside is a haven. And Cynthia is the wonderful host, not to mention a great cook.
You could spend 1 night or a week very happily here.

Stayed here twice travelling from Vancouver to Saskatoon.

First room was called the Loon's nest, smaller than our second room . but more private. Fantastic views of Thompson river.

The first night was so good , superb breakfast, we decided to stay on our return to Vancouver, the room this time was Coyote Howl, a much larger room, bed and bathroom, but less privacy than the Loon's nest. Great views of the river.

Gordon and Cynthia are great hosts, everything freshly cooked. complimentary half bottle of wine in your room, enjoyed the company of breakfast with other guests.

You won't find a better place to stay.

Room Tip: Loons nest, smaller but greater privacy..

After a long hot drive this was a very relaxing place to stop and recharge.
The house is in the suburbs on the edge of town and just off the highway.
We had the Eagle Soar room. A huge amount of space with a terrace and views out across the river. Everything was cool and clean. We loved the little notice welcoming us by name and the half bottle of wine as a gift. There is great attention to detail here.
Cynthia and Gordon, the hosts, are quiet gentle people and they ensure everyone is comfortable.
We sat on the deck but as weak swimmers we declined to use the rope swing. It was fun to witness Cynthia enjoying it ! The river flows fast and there are boats chugging along which are entertaining to sit and watch.
We ordered a Chinese take out and ate it in the garden as we did not want to drive out again.
We tried the hot tub but the weather was just too hot for it.
Breakfast was a communal meal, beautifully cooked and presented by Cynthia and Gordon. Guests chatted and exchanged travellers' tales. Lovely atmosphere.
