We stayed in the Salmon Swim Queen Room which had en suite shower facilities. A picture window looked out onto the patio with a view of the river. At the bottom of the garden their is a jetty which gives you access to the river if you want to go for a swim! There is a large Jacuzzi in the garden as well as a BBQ and several seating areas. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners as they were away but their stand in Ada who has also been in the business for many years made us feel most welcome and served us a lovely breakfast in the upstairs dining room which again had fantastic views of the river. This is a beautiful location and all the other guests said they would return and we have to agree with them.

We stay at this bed and breakfast every time we come through Kamloops. Gordon and Cynthia are great hosts. Unfortunately they were both away this trip and they had an inn sitter in their place. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was good, but it wasn't the same without Gord and Cynthia. The addition of the kitchenette in our suite was a nice surprise.

No detail was overlooked... The friendly reception, we'll thought out and comfortable room with a view, as well as a beautifully prepared and filling breakfast. A must stop for those traveling between Banff / Jasper and Whistler. Wish we'd had more time to enjoy the dock and river views.

My husband and I were on a motorcycle trip around BC during a record breaking heat wave. The Riverside Bed and Breakfast was the perfect oasis on a dry desert day. The room was cool and beautifully done. A handlettered personalized sign outside your door welcomes you to your room. There is a choice of a complimentary bottle of the B&Bs wine and your tea, coffee, sugar and whitener are hand packaged in "green" pouches sealed with red wax. A welcome sight for us was a coin operated laundry facility. The property backs onto the river with fantastic views of the surrounding hills and the water. Cynthia makes a delicious breakfast outfitted in her chefs coat in a dining room with stunning views. The bed was comfortable and large and the bathroom was gorgeous. Can't wait to stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room, Coyote Howl, had a large ensuite, kitchenette, sitting area and king sized bed.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights as part of our trip through the Canadian Rockies. Kamloops is a nice stop between Whistler and Banff. Loved the room and the river. Breakfast was great and the conversations with our hosts and other travelers were very helpful in setting itinerary.

Seem harsh only giving 3 stars, but the Loons Nest room was a let down. It was dark, under the dining room extension above, and the room wall colour, a muddy sage green was awful and didn't help.
No where to unpack your case's, no carpet on the ceramic tiles to stand on when getting out of bed. Shower and toilet/wash basin good. Fridge, kettle and drinks kit available in very small area opposite bathroom and a minibar of chocolate bicuits (kit kat) available at $1 each.
The Landlady/owner Cynthia, was very friendly, and advised on where to visit. She also cooked a lovely breakfast on both of the mornings of our stay.
However, we couldn't have put up with the gloom and poor facilities of the room for more than the 2 nights we were there.
Breakfasts served communally upstairs in the dining room, at 8am. A good place to meet others and the craic was good.
Would stay again, but NOT in the Loons Nest.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor room. The ground slopes away to the rear and the Thompson River.

A chic and charming bed and breakfast nestled in a delightfully whimsical garden. Cynthia, our hostess, greeted us with a warm welcome and introduced us to the property. The rooms are beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, offering every amenity the weary traveler might desire--even including a coin operated washer and dryer for guests. The inviting garden offers a lovely pond, a hot tub, beautiful plantings, whimsical art, countless birds, very comfortable seating, and a peaceful river vista. In the morning Cynthia had set a beautiful table and prepared a scrumptious breakfast for us with all manner of foods, drinks, and breads and we chatted congenially through the lovely, leisurely meal. It was such a treat to be a pampered guest at the Riverside B & B, and we'll certainly return when next we are in Kamloops.

Room Tip: A large ground floor room provides a sofa and comfortable reading chairs and includes a beautiful vi...
