We had some problems at first when we checked in, since the mattress on the foldout couch was faulty, but the staff were extremely helpful in resolving the issue, which we really appreciated, especially since we were travelling with small children. The room was also exceptionally clean.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your review. I will be sure to share it with my staff and I am so happy to hear that they gave you the type of customer service that I want associated with the Mission Park Inn. Not everything can always go perfect but I appreciate that you allowed the staff the opportunity to rectify the situation. It is our job to be hospitable and make our customers happy so that you will want to come back.
Cleanliness is paramount and we work hard at making sure our staff is trained well and we also have a system for quality control in place. It will be a morale booster for the cleaning staff to have someone praise the job that they are doing. It will be a pleasure to have you and your family come back to stay with us another time.

Thank you soooo much to Nicki and all the staff at Mission Park Inn for such a spectacular (3 night) stay!! All of our out of town guests who needed accommodations were able to stay at the Mission Park Inn. In fact, we had family that stayed an entire week!!!

It was so wonderful to have all of our family in one place, giving us as much time together as we could possibly squeeze out of the weekend!! The location is amazing (directly across from Gyro Beach and Lake Okanagan.. so close to stores and services) and the property was perfect for all of our guests from babies to seniors! The pool and hot tub were clean and at just the right temperatures and our children and all the kids had a great time in the pool and courtyard! We really had a great time barbecuing and socializing in the beautiful yard. The entire weekend was so much fun!!

We made great use of the facilities and found Nicki, the manager, to be very helpful, friendly, accommodating and HAPPY!! Thank you also to the staff for taking such great care of us and all of our crazy guests. :)

Thank you for being such an integral part of our entire wedding weekend! And a special thank you for making our wedding night extra special. The little touches mean so much!

Although we live in Kelowna... we are already talking about our next holiday to Mission Park Inn!! :) We'll BE BACK!!!

With great gratitude and appreciation,
Mr & Mrs Stock.

PS.. They even have a couple "PET FRIENDLY" rooms!! How awesome is that!!!?

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we enjoyed watching your group have such a great time. It is also important to note that you were our first bride. We often have wedding groups here but the bride and groom are usually elsewhere and it was lots of fun for us to be a part of your special day.
We would love to have you take a "staycation" with us again.
I am going to share this review with all of my staff. They always appreciate hearing positive feedback.
From all of us at the Mission Park Inn, we wish you and your new husband the best wishes for a long and happy future.
Sincerely,
Nicki Hughes

Wow ... what a nice hotel!!! Everything is so close , the beach across the strees and restaurants just around the corner. The staff at this hotel is so friendly and helpful especially the girl running the hotel and her awesome husband. The rooms are large and have kitchenettes and the beds are at the back of the room for ample privacy. Will stay again for sure!!!!

I live in the NWT and after working for a year up north I wanted to find a place where my 9 month-old pup and I could soak up some sun, explore Kelowna and feel welcome. The staff at the Mission Park Inn were very accommodating and made the both of us feel right at home!

The suite was provided was spacious and very clean. The long-term rate was reasonable.

Coming back here would be like coming home. I would not hesitate to recommend this inn to others!

Room Tip: E-mail, call ahead. Staff are very helpful!

The room was dirty and in terrible repair. The painted bath tub is peeling, the shower rod rusted, the caulking cracked and peeling. Light bulbs burnt out, light fixters missing covers no screens on the windows or sliding door. The hide a bed is thread bare, the kitchen counter had food on it and kitchen sink faucet in poor condition. One of the drawers will not open unless the fridge door is open. The main entrance door is beat up and the frame looks like it had been repaired after a kick in. The deck is as filthy as the walkway for the entrance. If we could have found another hotel, we would have moved. It is a real shame as the location is great and what all the place needs is remodelling.

I am very sorry that your stay with us was not an enjoyable one. I assure you that I read every word of your review and am personally looking at the unit you stayed in to make sure that the next person who books into it does not have the same experience. Your comfort and the state of our building is important to us and every year we budget for improvements. I have spoken with all our staff and shared the review with them. Please accept my apologies and I invite you to call the motel @ 1-800-667-6716 and ask for me directly so that we can talk in person about your stay here and hopefully rectify the situation.

While this motel offers good value and is situated at a decent location (right across Mission Park and within short walking distance to shopping malls) with many desirable amenities (outdoor pool, shared bbq, ample seating for eating and lawnchairs for sunbathing, rooms with kitchens and balconies), a few areas need improvement.

My sleep had been poor during my week-long stay there because of loud teenagers using the pool in the wee hours of the night (past midnight). Policy regarding age and size of young renters should be reviewed and/or more strictly enforced. Despite the rule of "no using of pool after 9pm" there were numerous times when I was woken up because of noises emanating from the pool. This is problematic especially because the pool is in the courtyard, therefore enclosed by rooms on three sides.

Another thing is the room itself. We got a one-bedroom apartment and were very happy with the space and the full-size kitchen. However, the lampshades smelled of smoke (it was a non-smoking room) and had to be changed. Overall cleanliness was fine, though when we peeked behind the headboard once to look for an errant earring, we did notice dust balls, which really turned us off.

The entire premise would benefit from a remodelling to update its 60s look, and to improve the acoustics so guests won't hear noises from other rooms or the cleaning activities that take place in the morning. Short of that, though, paying more careful attention to details and making sure obnoxious guests are deterred from staying (or at least kicked out from the inn when rules are violated) are easy, no-cost actions that will attract repeat business. As a matter of fact, many long-term, seasonal return guests whom I've met there indicate that there is already such a client base, which the inn would be silly to lose over easy, actionable improvements.

I should end with a positive note that the staff, from front-desk to house-cleaning, was very friendly and nice. They responded promptly to our requests for more towels on a few occasions. Also, for the price that you'd be paying here, the neighbouring competition would be hard-pressed to match.

Thank you very much for your review of our property. I appreciate the positive feedback as well as respect your opinions on the areas in which we can improve.
Quality control and security were both areas at the end of the busy season that we as a company recognized needed improving on. We have devised a more systematic approach to cleaning the units as well as increased the amount of inspections by the executive housekeeper and management. This is one area where we cannot afford to be complacent.
We are also adding 4 additional security cameras to the 4 we already currently have. Two will be placed in the pool/hot tub/BBQ area so that management and front desk staff can better monitor what is happening on the property after hours. This in combination with the actual on site security we hire for the weekends will no doubt decrease the amount of after hour disturbances as well as help management identify with certainty who is creating the problems.
Renovations at the Mission Park Inn are on going. We have replaced all of coil top stoves with glass top/self cleaning ovens, we have renovated all of our closet spaces with new white wire shelving and have some great ideas for improving the interior/exterior of the building and pool area. Although completing all of these projects takes time, you can count on continual improvement in the areas of renovation and in how we operate as a business.
As a manager I am responsible for making sure that all areas of the business are operating effectively and not falling short. You are correct when you say areas needed tightening up. We listen to what our customers have to say and I feel becoming part of Trip Advisor has helped me as a manager and our fantastic team of employees see things from our customers perspective. It is my hope that you would visit us again so that you can experience first hand an improved Mission Park Inn.
I thank you for taking the time to write us.

Nicki Hughes
