“Home from Home 1st class service”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We booked for two nights and wish it could have been longer! This was our anniversary get-a-way and we were made so very welcome. Our afternoon tea was served on the terrace, overlooking a beautifully manicured garden and inviting pool. Clair served her "just out of the oven" scones, fruit and a perfect pot of tea, so relaxing after the drive. The Devonshire room had an extremely comfortable luxurious king-sized bed, with a great shower in ensuite. It’s a bright sunny room with a superb view of Kelowna hillside, gardens and pool. The Villa is on a quiet street and Clair and Kelly are great hosts, who know how to make you feel relaxed in their home. We were comfortable sitting and reading in the lounge, after a simply amazing breakfast, cooked by Kelly. We looked forward to the next morning to see what our taste buds would be treated too and Kelly’s hollandaise was the best I have ever tasted, topped only by Clair’s Lemon poppy seed muffins…yummy! We normally stay in hotels, but really enjoyed this B&B experience and chatting with fellow travelers over tea and breakfast. A very welcome break and one we would do again in a heartbeat! Top rate service indeed!

Room Tip: Devonshire or Essex are bright sunny rooms, rear facing and look over the pond and garden and have a...

My husband and I stayed here three nights and loved it! Clare and Kelly are very hospitable. Despite booking at the last minute, they welcomed us immediately with delicious wine and scones. Kelly cooked us fabulous breakfast each morning and provided us with a lunch when we went rock climbing. We stay at bed and breakfasts during most all of our vacations and I can say that this place is among our top favorites.

We spent a lovely evening at the A Touch of English B&B. We arrived around 5 pm and first we had a wonderfully relaxing swim in the beautiful swimming pool, and then we had scones and tea on the upstairs patio with a beautiful view of the Okanagan valley. My husband couldn't believe the special treatment we got - it was simply amazing and I really really want to go back as soon as we can find the time again. I felt so refreshed and relaxed. We got served a glass of wine as well. The beds are great, the rooms are spick and span and the breakfast is wonderful. There is absolutely nothing bad at all I can say about this place - anyone who finds something bad here is quite simply insane.

Room Tip: The suite downstairs is wonderful if you want more privacy. It is huge.

I stayed here recently for two nights with my 13 year old daughter. Clare and Kelly were very friendly and welcoming and the inn was lovely with views of the surrounding mountains and town. We stayed in the Berkshire Suite downstairs. It was beautifully decorated and very clean, and had a kitchenette and separate entrance. My daughter slept late so I went up for breakfast and Kelly kindly made a tray for me to take down to her. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: The bedroom of the Berkshire Suite is below the kitchen so if you are sensitive to noise and want to...

What a shame we were only here for one night. We were immediately welcomed on arrival and shared tea and scones with other guests on the terrace. Very relaxing and particularly good to talk with Canadians about their way of life and the country. Our room was excellent, the sherry decanter was a lovely touch. We can only agree with all the other comments about Clare and Kelly, perfect hosts and long may their business prosper. It must be very difficult for any other hotel or B&B in Kelowna to compete with this one.

My husband and I were only able to stay one night but would have loved to stay more. Clare was a wonderful and helpful host and the high tea and breakfast (including silver, china and linens) were delicious. The view, the pool and the accommodation were beautiful.

My wife and I decided to stay here after considering many different options in Kelowna. We were not disappointed. The rooms - immaculate, the home - fantastic, and the food superb. Situated close to downtown makes getting around easy. A short drive outside the town and you are in the best wine region of western Canada. Clare and Kelly's hospitality was very memorable. Why would you go to a hotel? Amy and Steve

Room Tip: Ask Clare, the innkeeper, she will not steer you wrong.
