Pretty good stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Aug 2021via mobile
Stayed three nights at the Kanata Kelowna and overall would say it was a pretty good experience. Room was clean however had a smell to it and had to buy an air freshener to cover it up. Breakfast spread was pretty good. Pool was awesome with the waterslides- kids definitely enjoyed it - the floor could have used a clean one time we were there as it was muddy in one area. Lots of dining options within walking distance. Staff was friendly and very helpful and always had a smile for us.

Room Tip: If you bring your bikes lock them up really good or bring them into your rooms.

Lovely staff and nice hot breakfast. There was a lot of stomping noise coming through from the room above. The hotel is showing a lot of wear. Still a good value for the price. No wifi issues. Lots of parking

Loved the hospitality and cleanliness, comforting bed and AC room in this hot weather and smoke. Location of the hotel was awesome as we could travel anywhere in and around Kelowna with ease.
Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Had an amazing time, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with local recommendations. Despite the smoky conditions, we really enjoyed the Myra Canyon bike ride and the wine tasting at Frind Winery.

The hotel is dated and dingy. It does not present well. The hotel is located right next to a very busy highway, so forget any ideas about a peaceful sleep. Even less peaceful during the daytime with constant non-stop loud trucks and motorbikes nearby. The curtains in the windows are old and ineffective, they allow a lot of light in the room from the streetlights and sun in the early morning.

Finally, the continental breakfast is absolutely sub-par. The only hot items are low quality reheated eggs, extremely thin greasy bacon and disgusting sausage patties drowning in grease that activated my gag reflex. They were inedible and went into the garbage.

Would absolutely never ever stay here again. Do not recommend it at all. Supposedly, it's a 3-star hotel. I have no idea how they got that rating. It's more like 2 stars. The 2.5 star Holiday Inn Express a few blocks away, is a much better, cleaner and newer hotel with a terrific breakfast. Cheaper rates too.

We stayed 2 nights July 2-4th in an executive room and the hotel was very clean, the staff was amazing and the front desk was very welcoming. The pool was clean and not crowded. The breakfast was well maintained, food kept coming out as it was busy. This hotel will be my first choice when staying in Kelowna here onwards!
