“Happy People Make A Happy Place”

For the price and the reason for using this motor inn, I would say that it was almost perfect. Perhaps I would do what is happening if I owned it. Addition & renovation is happening but on a careful scale in order to not disturb the guests. If I would make any improvements I would enlarge.expand the continental breakfast space to accommodate more people for the continental breakfast.I also missed the warm components other motor inns have, ie. self-serve waffles and sausages. The pool was a bit chilly, probably because it's solar heated. The hot tub was excellent. Bed needed a pillow top mattress, etc. My arm and shoulder are not used to such a hard mattress, which also had a sag in the middle.
The roof at the back needs a gutter because the rain drips on the sidewalk were you park the car behind the restaurant.

Room Tip: If mobility is an issue, ask for a ground floor unit because other wise it's two flights of stai...

Thank - you Rudy for your kind comments.

As you pointed out correctly, a renovation is currently underway to a block of 20 guest rooms. We are careful to ensure this does not impact our guests. (To see images of the new design, inside and out, visit our website and click the “brand new” tab)

Even though our pool and hot tub is solar heated, we do not rely on the sun completely. A gas boiler ensures the pool is always at a comfortable temperature.

Thank you for your additional comments. We value the engagement and suggestions of our guests.

Sincerely,

Michael Saufferer- gm

I decided to stay at this hotel after reading other positive reviews and I have to say I was not disappointed. Our room was clean and well-equipped with a small fridge and coffee maker, as well as all the other things you would expect.

We were pleasantly surprised that they have pet friendly rooms, which served us well, as our pet boarding fell through at the last minute. The additional charge was only $10 per night. And the room did not have have prior pet odours at all.

The pool and hot tub are well maintained and warm, and the lobby has free coffee 24 hours a day. There was also a well-stocked, self-serve continental breakfast room that was a great way to start the day.

I would definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Kelowna.

Room Tip: We stayed on the front of the hotel facing Harvey Road, which is quite busy, but the traffic noise d...

Dear Geoff,

Thank-you for your review. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay with us.

Our pet friendly rooms are limited to a certain number of rooms, and they receive the same great care and attention from Housekeeping and Maintenance that all our rooms receive.

Thank-you for recommending us and we look forward to hosting you on your next visit to Kelowna.

Sincerely,
Michael - gm

My only concern was being non smokers and having to walk through a smoke pit to get to my room. The restaurant staff smoke below my room and other guests on the railing outside it. Not sure anything could be done to fix that. Beyond that good room for a reasonable price.

Hello Jason,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your comments. We will review our smoking policy with the restaurant staff. Our designated smoking areas are away from the building and guest rooms. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for allowing us to improve our service through your comments.

Sincerely,

Guy at the front desk was pretty good but that was about it. Room was dated with a heavy musk smell which could of been coming from the 80 year old pink granny chairs. Beds were awful and parking lot was being reno'd and was tough to get in and out. Wouldn't stay here again unless it was free.

We stayed for one night on our way from Banff to Vancouver staying in a 2 bed loft room. The room was small but comfortable and ours was located at the rear of the property so it wasnt overly noisy. There were renovations taking place but this didnt effect our stay at all.

Continental Breakfast was included and sufficient for our needs.

The bathroom fan was noisy when it was on.

For a one night stay it was perfect

Hello Ozzie Travelers,

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We’re glad you found the 2 queen loft rooms comfortable and quiet.

As mentioned in your review, a wing of our hotel is being transformed into 20 new rooms over the next few months. The renovation does not affect the operation and enjoyment of our current guest rooms. We are excited about this project. You can find out more on the “BRAND NEW” tab of our web site.

Sincerely,
Michael - gm

Very, very noisy! Friendly staff, but room was terrible for noise. Rooms have been remodelled but the beds are hard & uncomfortable. Bathroom fan was unbearably loud & every time you turned the light on, the bathroom fan was also on. Would have been nice to have the fan on a separate switch. Would not recommend!

Dear Lulu,

Thank you for staying with us. Of course we are disappointed to read your stay fell short of your expectations. We were able to locate the noisy bath fan and have addressed the issue. Bath fans are maintained regularly by our maintenance staff, yet this particular one appears to have dodged our best efforts. Our apologies.

The mattress in your room, as in all our guest rooms, are Serta brand mattresses which have a very high guest satisfaction rating. We would have been keen to let you try a bed in another room, with the aim to ensure you receive a comfortable rest.

We sincerely hope you’ll visit us again.

Kind Regards

I stayed here with my daughter while visiting Kelowna for 4 nights. The parking was plentiful and check-in was simple.

We had a room in the back, away from the hwy., close to the lobby, breakfast room and pool. (important to note the pool & hot tub are in a separate building, I would strongly recommend a robe in off season, they are not provided)

The room was exceptionally clean, a decent size and came with a half fridge. The décor was simple but pleasant; soft colours, crown moldings, nicely lit, well kept. (the bathroom light needs to "warm up", don't be discouraged if it seems dim at first!) The beds were very comfortable and the linen had a notably clean and fresh scent.

The bathroom was a bit on the small size, but lots of hot water and a good shower head. The shower insert definitely needed replacing, clean but very wore.

Breakfast was great for us. We are not fans of the typical big breakfast, so toast with peanut butter & jam, oatmeal, yoghurt and apples did us fine. They also had bagels, cream cheese, a selection of dry cereals & milk and 4 types of muffins. To drink; milk, apple & orange juice, tea and coffee. The way I look at it, they don't have to provide anything, so this was a bonus.

The pool area was great. The pool itself was a good size, 9 ft. in the deep end, and the hot tub was also a good size. We found the pool a little on the cool side and the hot tub on the hot side, but all in all, wonderful at the end of the day.

There is tons of parking behind the motel. Also, it is easier to access the parking from the back lane. I used Ethel off Harvey to access the lane. The location is excellent; close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, beaches and parks.

The lobby has coffee, guest information, a free use computer, and a 24 hour desk person. I booked online (not through the hotel), and received a rate of $89.00 a night. Great value!

Room Tip: Like the other reviews said, at the back away from the hwy. I also loved that we were ground level...
