“Missing iPad returned by staff after we had to call police”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

Everything was OK until the day we checked out, when we left the hotel only to discover 5 minutes later that we left behind an iPad in the room. We immediately returned to the hotel and found our room already cleaned and the door wide open. The cleaning lady was in the room nearby and, to our question, replied she did not see the iPad. After thoroughly searching the room, we couldn't find the missing device and reported the loss to the front desk. We then used Internet to log into Apple site facilitating search of missing devices. The site showed that the device was still in the hotel premises. With that information we phoned the local police to request assistance in finding the iPad. We talked to the police by the phone in the lobby two times. We were explaining that we have picture evidence that the missing iPad was still on the hotel premises. There people (including the hotel staff) in the lobby who heard our conversation. During our second call, suddenly one of the hotel staff showed up with our iPad! She said that they found it wrapped up in bed sheets. That it probably was left on the bed and, when the staff was cleaning the bed, it was inadvertently thrown into the laundry bin together with the sheets. Frankly, one could wonder how such a big device could be thrown into the bin unnoticed. But that was all the explanation offered to us.

Outside entrances so you can keep a watchful eye/ear on your car full of summer road trip stuffs. Outside pool full of kiddos, coke machine, comfy cozy beds with fridge/mic in room and shower heads high enough that you don't bash your head while you're taking a shower.

We stayed here for a week, great hotel awesome front desk they were very helpful! We are traveling with our daughter who is one, so in the morning for obvious reasons we put our garbage cans outside the room so they wouldn't stink up our room, they were tied up nicely as well. I guess housekeeping took this is as a " we only need the empty the garbages" ALL week we had to flag somebody down to grab our own towels, and I asked one of the ladies to make our beds and she came in the room and layed out our blankets on top of the
Messy sheets underneath! I politely explained to the front desk what was
Going on and since we were leaving the next day it was just a " just wanted to let you know" she made a note about it. About 30 mins later I opened my door to go grab our laundry only to be bombarded by not 1 not 2 but 3 housekeepers freaking out on me and calling me a liar! My husband who was napping even came outside the room to see what the heck was going on! The house keeping manager rudely asked me" well what would you like us to do? Do you want
More towels?!" And I said no were leaving tmrw so there's no point! And they all
Walked away! I was absolutely appalled by this! How unprofessional !!

We stayed at the Days Inn just outside Kelowna during a road trip in the Canadian Rockies and its surrounding areas. Our room was large and had air conditioning and a fridge, both essential as it was a really hot day. We used the pool area for an hour, which was small, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was basic, but adequate, and we managed to get a table when we arrived.

Stay was fine. Having the sink outside of the bathroom was really handy for when the whole family was trying to get ready in the morning. Breakfast was good, and pool looked nice though we didn't use it. Only complaint was that the toilet was really noisy and slow to fill, and the lock on the room door didn't open properly. Overall it was clean and good value. A pleasant experience.

Room Tip: There are motel style rooms on the first floor where you can park outside your door, and normal hote...

Great motel style accom in very convenient & easy to find location. Stayed only one night whilst travelling from Vancouver to Golden. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean. TV/microwave/fridge/percolator. Breakfast was cereal/bagels/muffins. Basic but all you need really for a day of travelling. Overall good cheap hotel for a stay over between locations.
