“Worst hotel experience ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

The hotel staff here were completely clueless, and over one hour late getting us into our room, at which point the room was filthy. It has an absolutely useless TV, virtually no appliances and loud air conditioning also very very uncomfortable bed. I have traveled all around the world I have stayed at over a thousand hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and will never ever stay here again.

We needed a 2 queen bed room and the front desk staff was able to accommodate a last minute emergency booking. They was very friendly and understanding and gave us a great rate. It was nice to sit under the trees by the pool and unwind from a whirlwind plane trip from back east. I would recommend this hotel for families and anyone interested in accessing the airport. We stayed a very short time at the Days Inn in Kelowna and the staff made it very comfortable and enjoyable.

What can I say, it's a Days Inn folks.
It's a bit tiered & old but wouldn't you expect that here?
What you would not expect is....wait for it.... the bathroom vanity(sink, etc.) in the living-room???
12 liter flush toilet & incandescent lightbulbs(1 out).
Not good at over $100/night. $80 is just fine.

We stayed here for a week while visiting relatives. We were planning to be out most of the time, so our travel agent picked us a budget hotel.

First, the good. The front desk staff and the maids are excellent. Very friendly, accommodating, and the rooms were definitely kept nicely. Nothing was over the top, but nothing was missed either. The air-conditioning is excellent. The price, apparently, is good for the area. They advertise the lowest rates. Looking around, I find it hard to believe that all the motels charge more than this.

Other pluses are a guest coin laundry, an ice machine, ample parking, and close proximity to town. A cute perk is the automatic pancake maker in the breakfast room. The pancakes aren't spectacular, but they're automatic and the kids seem to love them.

What is lacking? Well, the sinks and bathtubs all need an update. Some of the drain plugs are non-existant or non-functioning. The caulking is uneven in the w/c and our toilet made a lot of noise that lasted sometimes an hour after use. One of our rooms had plenty of mold in the w/c as well as some unidentified bugs. There is a pool for patron use, but it's not very pretty and it's mainly an attraction for kids. There are a couple of deck chairs and tables, but no umbrellas or other decoration to make it welcoming.

A big minus for this property is access. When coming from the airport, you can't make a left at the motel, so you have to drive past it and make a u-turn, or else turn before the motel and find your way through the subdivision and you still have to come back to the main street for the only entrance/exit. Similarly, there's no easy way into town from the motel, as you can't make a left turn out of the hotel.

The staff were really good, so I might consider coming back, but there's a lot of choice that looks far more accommodating and convenient.

Room Tip: It's a long walk to the second floor rooms at the end of the motel, and there's no outside a...

This is an excellent motel. I expected much less for the price and got much more.
I don't know about all the rooms, but the two we were in had new attractive lino, white imacculate bedding (including bedspread), clean corners, very accommodating and generous staff.
Our rooms were pet friendly and still squeeky clean.
The lino really made a huge difference in giving us a good feeling about this place where other dogs had been.
My husband loved the breakfast. Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, porridge.
We both enjoyed eating outside at the picnic table with our dog.
Thank you for making our visit remarkable.

We stayed here with my daughter's soccer team as we were in town for a tournament. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and exceptionally accommodating and team friendly. They allowed us to set up tables in the courtyard to feed the girls and were open to us having team building events for the girls. The rooms were clean and the facility and pool were great. The only thing I would have liked would be a few more breakfast choices. All in all a great stay and would absolutely stay here again.

I had an efficiency unit near the front of the hotel by the pool. It had a separate living room with a fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. I would have a added a tv in the bedroom. Otherwise everything was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful.
