We stayed in the old part.
It was very lovely,antique type furniture,lake view,big bathroom,very clean.
After dinner(excellent) I had the salmon,my husband steak,we took a short stroll outdoors.
The Christmas lights added to the ambiance.
Back in the room, bed turned down,a rose in centre & a platter of chocolates!
Very romantic.

Room Tip: A bit noisy earlier.....holiday time at the end of Nov.....the new part is larger but no lake view...

Hotel was booked out of normal rooms so had to stay in an arms deluxe room, bit on the expensive-side but the room was spacious and clean. Did not try the dining facilities but they looked the part. Would I stay here again? Probably not for the price, but I'm sure other Kelowna hotels offer similar pricing.

After hearing about this heritage hotel for years, I finally had the opportunity to stay. Unfortuantely it did not live up to the hype. While it was a quiet room with a comfortable bed, it was pretty basic. It had lovely modern looking french doors, that faced a fake balcony........what's the point???

The shower was hot, but the showerhead delivered so little water that i had difficulty rinsing the soap off my legs. And only think heritage looking in the bathroom was a side table.

And the pool and hot tub area........the pool was very small and shallow. The hot tub was large enough, but the jets were unreliable. Sometimes they delivered a decent jet, and other times the same jet was barely operating. There were timers on the wall for the hot tub, but no instructions has to how to operate the finicky tub. And no visible phones in the area to check with the front desk as to how to operate. There is a steam room as well, but it takes forever to heat it up.

Make sure you check out the price list before you indulge in the snacks left in the room!!!

Beautiful character in rooms. Very clean. Extremely friendly staff in every department, I was very happy talk to the employees. The view from my room on the 4th floor was great, I actually live in the city but was staying at the hotel for an event. It was nice to see the city from that height. I appreciated the snacks, wine and water (and lots more) available in the room, without having to request it. Loved the separate soaker tub from the tile shower in the bathroom. Everything was just perfect for a low rate of $119 during my stay.

Room Tip: Beautiful View from the 4th Floor. Also, you should book their romance package if you are looking fo...

I've stayed at the Eldorado perhaps a dozen times in the last twenty years and it has never fallen short of excellent. The comfort, appearance, food, service, setting, everything is top-notch without any pretension whatsoever. Even through their expansion and renovations the hotel always made extraordinary efforts to make for an exceptional stay.

Room Tip: I still prefer rooms in the original hotel building but the newer Arms rooms are, technically speaki...

We stayed at the El for a romantic mini honeymoon weekend and it was perfect. Right from the start the entire experience was relaxing and everything we wanted. Check-in was quick and the front desk agent has everything ready for our arrival. She was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were booked into a Arms Luxury Lakeview Suite and I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway weekend. Not only is the room huge and nicely done, it comes with a jetted tub overlooking the lake. What a way to spend the evening and perfect finish to the day. There are a few restaurants nearby and coffee directly across the street if you want to get out. Highly recommend the Sunday brunch- it was superb. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool but it seemed to be quiet and peaceful as well.

Try the romance package!

Room Tip: Pick a Arms Luxury Lakeview Suite for a jetted tub overlooking the lake. Very romantic

The Hotel Eldorado has been part of BC's destination hotel resort experience since 1926. It is a story of Austrian blue bloods and thrilling vacations, a story of a famous honour bar and Olympic rowers, a story of London cabs and dog shows. From the beginning, it has always been a story of unique hospitality, social events and a welcome that knows no borders. It was then what it is today; a singularly unique social and vacation experience set in one of Canada's most spectacular destinations, the Okanagan Valley. 300 kilometres from the Lower Mainland in the BC Interior and an easy flight from all major airports, the Hotel Eldorado is located on the shores of Okanagan Lake. For those who have travelled in other countries, you will recognize that this place is one of the most scenic in the world. The Hotel Eldorado is as storied as our town and all those who have graced our doors since 1926. It is a gem and we all look forward to welcoming you to The El. ... more   less
