The new Arms suites in the hotel are fantastic. The room and view were amazing with all the lights outside at night, not to mention having a deep soaker tub right in the bedroom. On top of the great accommodation the bar/restaurant menu was excellent.

Overall the best part of the stay was the service offered by Stacy and the friendly front desk team. An incredibly friendly group which was a breath of fresh air for someone who travels extensively for work and has a lot of experience with hotel staff all over.

Room Tip: Arms Luxury suite (water view) for anyone looking for a perfect couples getaway or relaxed business...

The hotel is charming, warm and has an inviting presence. The food is solid - not over-the-top expensive or over-reaching on the menu - but very well prepared and something for everyone. The rooms were clean, well-appointed and beds were comfortable with duvets and fluffy pillows. The pub is very energetic (especially on Friday evenings) with a great selection of bottled and on-tap local and import beers, as well as an extensive - and again, not over-the-top expensive - wine list. You can't beat the location either. Beautiful lakeside property that is low-key in the winter and a bustle of energy and people watching in the summer.

Room Tip: Heritage wing is not as sound proof as the Arms wing. Wouldn't let that deter me though.

Stayed at the "El" the week of February The hotel has an older (1926) section, and a newer section, which was built keeping the older, traditional, styling. Rooms are spacious, and well appointed. The restaurant featured a small, but well designed menu, with the three dinners I enjoyed being prepared excellently. Whether one tries the smoked salmon pizza, the beef short ribs, or the crispy duck breast, you will not be disappointed. Excellent value for the money. The staff were friendly and hospitable, and make you feel at home. A great place!

My wife and I stayed here on Feb 16 / 2014. They were running a $99.00 per night special. The room itself was in the new wing facing the parking lot. We did not get to see one, but I think the rooms in the old wing facing the lake would probably be worth the upgrade.

Couple of small issues : The front desk staff member who checked us in was efficient; but not very friendly.
There was no soap in the bathroom; but it was probably just an oversight on housekeeping.
There was a nice deck off the room, but the common hall windows facing the deck had no curtains so you had absolutely no privacy on the deck. Also you had to sign a waiver at the front desk not to smoke in your room or on the outside deck. I thought the no smoking on the outside deck was a little harsh to the smoking crowd. (we do not smoke, so it did not matter)
Also the locks on the french doors leading out to the deck were difficult to lock and we finally gave up on trying to secure the room.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathtub was nice and big.
The turn-down service and homemade chocolates was a very nice touch
We thought that overall it was a very fair price for Kelowna.
We will leave another review for the restaurant.

Loved this place; I felt like I was in a 1920 s movie. The room was amazing and the food was over the top. Rooms had a balcony which offered both sunrise and sunset views. I didn't want to leave. All decor was black and white.

We had a wonderful stay over Valentines Day weekend...loved the antiques...enjoyed the pool and hot tub...turn down service complete with a red rose and delicious chocolate truffles...will definitely recommend and return for another stay.

Room Tip: although we were above the bar and restaurant any noise was minimal

Stayed for one night over this past weekend. Great Hotel overlooking the lake. Great rates so we upgraded to the suite which faced the lake which had lots of room for the three of us. Had dinner that night at the restaurant that was exceptional. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to Kelowna.
