I love this place. You can bring a little picnic, make a donation and be in a restful simple setting
with lovely old buildings. So much of Kelowna's roots can be traced to this mission.

After just a few minutes by car from the bustling shopping areas, you'll find the location where an Oblate priest from France first lived. It is a quiet, serene area, and it bears witness to the simplicity of life of the first settlers in the area, that arrived in the 1860's. I also shows farming implements and the more elaborate home of those who had become more established. Admission is by an honor-system donation. The area is small, but it does lend itself for a short stop for visitors who are on their way to the Mission area and its wineries.

A great place to learn about the history of the Kelowna area. Well-kept buildings and grounds with interesting signage notes and antique implements and artifacts. Very inspiring to learn about Father Pandosy. Would have liked to have seen more of the actual artifacts in each of the buildings, such as pertinent tools and equipment, etc in the barn and hayloft pertaining to operating a barn, rather than the extensive farming machinery. But anyone interested in a wide array of evolving crop farming machinery will find the display fascinating.
