Carpet in room was old and stained. Internet wifi was spotty. Aircon didn't work. Cable t/v not high def and channel selection was poor. No breakfast included and the little on site restaurant was overpriced. I would say that this hotel has seen better days and is a little overdue for a complete renovation.

I am attending a conference, and this hotel was recommended as an alternative since the conference hotel was full. I booked a room over two months ago, and specifically asked for a quiet room. I was put on the street side which is very noisy and busy. I checked in late, and as a female traveller, I was concerned that the door did not lock properly. In the morning when I went to go to my meeting, the room door would not open despite many efforts. I was trapped in the room! Good thing there was no fire! The front desk was unhelpful. I finally got the door opened. I asked to move rooms but was told they would fix the door. Later in the day, when nothing had been done, I asked to move again. The front desk staff noted that door always sticks but that it was ok. When I asked again to move to a room on the back of the hotel, the front desk person said it was noiser since there was a bar back there. There wasn't one. I really did not appreciate being lied to. I finally moved rooms, but the next room was on the front side again and was even noiser than the last one. The bed was more comfortable and the room is nicely furnished in an antique french theme. The hallways and reception areas are worn and beat up. If the staff had been truthful and the noise less, it would have been ok, but overall I would rate this as a very poor experience.

I apologize that you did not receive the usual high standard of Prestige service during your stay. Thank you for bringing this to our attentions, our maintenance crew has resolved the issue. Avenue Bar was operational at the time of your stay on alternate nights, and I apologize that this was not made clear. This is a busy week in Kelowna apparently, so I could not get in to my preferred choices. It is an okay location and the prices seen competitive. My room is clean, but the areas could use refurbishment, especially the bathroom (which is cramped). The staff are very friendly and helpful however, and the food in the attached Greek restaurant was actually really good. I think if the management put a little money into this place it would be a very nice place. As it is it is okay for an inexpensive stay or a quick business trip.

Room Tip: one side is next to a busy road, try the side overlooking parking lot.

Spent our 34th anniversary in the Arabian suite at the Kelowna Prestige Inn. Very nice stay. Althought pretty noisy on the patio with the hotel being on the main drag. The room was in nice decore, staff was very pleasant and would return agin.

Stayed here on August 30th overnight with my hubby for a mini vacation. Prices seemed fairly competitive with other properties located nearby and it was a long weekend. We paid $199 for a King Suite. We were located on the second floor, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The location of the hotel was a bit of a let down being right behind a shelter and several people just hung around the back area. Parking was tight for our truck and made us nervous with the loitering individuals near it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the front entry is however too dark toned and does not have a cheery appearance. The Hallway noise was louder than we expected to hear from people coming in and out, but once people were in rooms no sound could be heard. Our particular room faced nightclubs and you could hear the 'thump' of the music but it wasn't terribly bothersome and the sound of the air conditioner drowned it out effectively. Location in the day was lovely for going to the park or to the downtown area for meals within walking distance. Overall it was good although for the price I might have expected a little better/newer updating etc

The hotel is close to the lake which was a plus but also close to a very busy road. Luckily we were facing a parking lot so didn't have the traffic noise but the room looked out on a mission of some kind.
Room was tidy except good have used a bit more dusting especially in the closet. No big deal. Have never seen a "clean remote" which is kind of neat. If you ever watch those tv shows that show where germs hide the remote is one of the top 10. This hotel had a remote that had a flat surface perfect for wiping.
Very happy to have AC as it was super hot that day. Check in/out were by the same guy quick and efficient. Didn't ask how our stay was though which should be an automatic. Would stay again because of proximity to lake but wouldn't want to be on the main road.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the busy road.

We unexpectedly ending up staying here for 2 nights as we decided to travel without any plans. It has a great location. There were a few downsides: For some reason the patios are double enclosed, meaning just windows. But the view from the windows was great, we got to watch some people smoke a crack pipe and shoot up in the parking lot beside the property. The property could easily do some simple upgrades to give it a better feel ie. paint the chair rail in the hallway to breakup the monochromatic hallway. The airconditioner "remote control" in the room didn't work so our only option was off or a bone-chilling on.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Your comments are so important to improving our hotel and services that we take all feedback to our management team for review. As we are located downtown, our balconies are double-paned in order to ensure that guests are not disturbed by sounds from the city. As in any major city, our local officials are working to improve the core so that it is a safe and we are supporting their efforts as much as possible. We hope that you had an enjoyable stay on your spontaneous visit and we will see you again soon. – Sonu Murphy
