We just passed by on the train and saw the beautiful scenery of the Kettle Valley Railway. It makes it special with 18 trestles and 2 tunnels which you pass over and through, with spectacular views.

Beautiful day - wildflowers, path, views, travellers from all over the world. Easy, flat ride. Worth the crappy road!

We started the Kettle Valley Rail bike trail at Myra Canyon. The drive up there was very steep and lots of washboard ruts. I wouldn't suggest doing that on a bike. We saw a little black bear who ran up a tree and watched us from there. Once in the canyon there are trestle bridges of all sizes all offering up incredible views.

After some construction and a bit of a climb to get to the trailhead, we decided it was totally worth it. We biked the trail, which was not difficult at all. Flat, no big obstacles. Beautiful views and some cool history! We went around 830 in the morning and shared the trail with maybe 4 other people. We were very glad we went early, because as we were getting back it started to get busy - needed to wait at each trestle for oncoming people to pass. Definitely recommend!
