11km walk (each way not a loop) along the old railway line, which was busy with the occasional cyclist or walker, but not too packed on a weekday. Some of the views over the valley, lake and airport in the distance were stunning. The old wooden bridges (called Trestles) are fascinating, and provide additional unbroken views. The line was built at huge expense in the early 1900s to transport silver and other minerals, and was closed in 1961. The tracks were removed in the early 1970s, and the trail and Trestles restored for recreational purposes in the early 1990s. Well worth a visit.
