“Good sushi, but petite size portions”

Sushi is one of those foods that you wish you were in Vancouver for, but we've been trying to find a good Kelowna option & this place wasn't bad. The fish tasted fresh & the rolls weren't just packed out with fillers like cucumber. What this place doesn't have going for it is portion size - a roll that would normally be 8 pieces was only 6 here & the while it's not expensive, it is one of the high priced spots we've been to in town which made the petite portion even more disappointing.

We go here once a week - usually for take out. We eat a lot of sushi and this place offer it at the highest quality. Never disappointed and always happy with what they produce. The family that owns and runs the business is so lovely and attentive - they really care!

Thank you for all the great meals - see you tomorrow night!

We just moved to Kelowna from Vancouver. Living right off Main Street in the city, we had about 30 sushi restaurants within a 5 km radius of our old house, and we had sampled all of them. We've been missing sushi dinners since our move, and decided to try Aomi. I'm always a little skeptical about freshness in sushi restaurants that are nowhere near a coast, but we were pleasantly surprised. Aomi was better than many of the sushi restaurants in Vancouver. Not the best we've had, but not the worst either.

We ordered take-out and our order was ready within 10 minutes. Staff were pleasant, and the food was all appropriate temperature. The yam tempura was crispy and perfectly cooked although we usually prefer more vegetable than batter. The california rolls were standard but tasted fresh. I really liked the gyoza, I would definitely order that again.

Overall we were happy with the order, the fish was fresh enough and it is now on our take-out list for future meals.

We recently ordered take out from Aomi Sushi and were very happy with our experience there. The sushi was good, everything we ordered was fresh, the staff were friendly and service was quick. We did not dine in so can't comment other than it looked nice and relaxing in the restaurant. We live in the Kettle Valley so we are pleased that there is a great sushi spot close by.

I'm from Calgary, not used to good sushi...this was comparable to Vancouver sushi, VERY good. Fast service, we noticed lots of take out, seems like a popular place.
