I was in Kelowna for work this week and happened to walk by this coffee shop. I saw they had wireless service, which I needed, so I stopped in for a coffee. I sat there grinning to myself the entire time. The decor is so fun! Beside each drink option on the wall, there is a cheesy pulp fiction novel cover printed. The music playing was satellite radio and was only 50's music. It wasn't too loud but served it's job of adding to the feel of the place and cutting the noise of conversation. The servers were polite and helpful. The Americano I ordered was fresh, hot and flavorful. I didn't have time for lunch at this spot, but I'll definitely be back as I'd like to browse the bookshelves that line at least one wall in this establishment and try out that key lime tart RCSI mentioned!

We discovered this coffee shop as we were headed to Starbucks a block away. I am so happy we stopped here, and I was back again a few days later. My favourite things are that it is locally owned and really homey - the owner has his loyal poodle watching over everyone. It is retro style chairs, and also comfy bench seating, there is even a fire place. The young staff were super friendly, which is always a plus. If you love books the owner has a pretty impressive collection of classics, first editions, and pulp fiction books (it was named after this genre of book he told me).

It has excellent food and coffee. We had a ham sandwhich, croissant, key lime pie, hot chocolate and a cortado (specialty coffee) and we were really impressed by everything. There were several tables of students studying, and using the wifi. I would highly recommend this as a place for lunch or just to chill out when you are shopping downtown.

Very friendly staff. Pride of ownership shows. Nice selection of interesting antique books line the walls.
The person who bakes also serves, and her pride in her baking is well warrented. Key Lime tart was spectacular!
Went back several times over our short stay. Consistant friendly service. Soup was a hearty tomato basil - tasted like fresh basil & tomato.

Great coffee and lunch items. Books and prints also very cool. No other place like it around. 1000's of books and some beautiful antiques as well.
