Dined at this restaurant recently with a small group; the restaurant was not especially busy.iAsked for an inside table rather than the patio table suggested by the maître de and realized we had disappointed him when we were ignored for 10 minutes.
Whoops! Disappointed again when we asked to pour our own carafe of wine. This caused the waitress's hand to slip whilst placing it so the carafe clunked loudly and the other patrons took note and did not make such uninformed requests. Maybe we were just sent to try her for she also let us know that we were causing her needless effort by asking to split the offending carafe between two bills! She had to give us all a hint of what her grumpy self might look like for a while!
Ah well, the food was pleasant and beautifully presented although the portions did not cause us to fall off our diets. The setting is idyllic.
