While our experience may be coloured by the order in which we've experienced four different WildPlay parks - this was our first - we continue to feel that WildPlay Nanaimo offers the best experience of them all.

Pricing for all the parks seems on the high side but once sticker shock is out of the way, we've never left a park feeling that we didn't get full value out of the experience.

We were looking for something to do that would be fun, different and take our minds off everything. So we pointed the car to Nanaimo and went to WildPlay. It was the perfect choice. From the moment the staff shows you how to put the harnesses on, you know you're going to be living in a different way for the next few hours. Ziplining through the Douglas firs, climbing up and across, challenging yourself while knowing you're safe if you mess up is a great way to spend an afternoon. The big zipline across the entryway at the end is a super fun way to finish -- back where you started but a different person now. Afterward, we walked up onto the bridge over the river and watched people bungie jumping and doing the primal swing. Also very entertaining ... and a pretty spectacular view as well.

Thanks for pointing your wheels in our direction! We're always happy to help with a different sort of distraction - even if that means "messing up" once in a while. Evolution comes in all forms :) ...Hope to see you back for a Bungy Jump or Primal Swing of your own (the view gets even better from the harness).

I've completed the Monkido course at Wild Play Nanaimo three times and each time I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. It is suitable for people of all ages and for the most part you don't have to be super fit to do it. The aerial course and ziplines present a range of challenges and excitement. Sometimes the afternoons slots in the summer can be a little busy on the course so try to go a little earlier or a little later in the day to avoid the rush. The staff are friendly and get you set up with the gear and teach how to use it. This park will bring back your memories of childhood tree climbing so give it a whirl!

I have been impress when visiting this place. It is for the person who wants to be challenge or just exercise in the wild a little bit. it is for children, teen, young adult, older adult and if healthy a elder could very well participated in this exciting environment. It is I think a place that should be known internationally because of what it is offering. There is plenty of things to do in this beautiful natural wild setting. There are beautiful trees, animals in their home( squirrel, birds, rabbits) while you are exercising. It is unique and I can even say that you want to travel in Nanaimo for this main reason.
