Stayed in 2 bedroom 2 bath with balcony for 2 nights. Had an amazing time at this motel. Spectacular
location, friendly staff and great price. Will come back for sure and highly recommend it.
great restaurants nearby and this is the only beachfront resort offers 2 bedroom rooms for family of 4-5.
There is wifi, dryer, TV, cable and much more. Very pleased.

Wow!!! We found a "treasure" of a place to stay at in Penticton. The service was excellent. The day manager Tracy Rurka couldn't have been more accommodating. Going out of her way to make adjustments for my family by rearranging one of the rooms. Not easy to do when you are booked up. She did it with a " not a problem." She was happy to help us out and was genuinely happy to do it. You don't get that type of service very often. Try that in Vancouver; New York or Toronto. There my experience has been just be happy you are staying with us. So Kudos to Tracy.
The 1 bedroom suite we had was perfect for my wife and I. My daughters had a similar suite . Everything was updated tastefully in both rooms and my daughter's pull out was " better than my bed at home". We had a kitchen that was just right for our needs.Full size fridge; stove and micro wave.
Do you like coming back or staying at a hotel that has a CLEAN room. Got it covered. We stayed for 5 nights and came "home" to a clean, fresh room every time. We haven't had that experience in too many places we've stayed at in our travels. Thank you cleaning staff.
One evening we barbecued at the guest barbecue. Didn't need no gasoline to start the barbecue here......An electronic ignition that actually worked... Nice set up too.
Oh ya. LOCATION , LOCATION, LOCATION... This treasure is right across from the beach. The walkway reminded us of San Diego with the restaurants and hotels.
So if you are looking for a great, clean hotel with an exceptional staff search no more. Try this gem in Penticton.
But make sure you leave a room for us....Thank you for the great stay Tracy and staff. We look forward to our next visit to Penticton. We know where we are going to stay...
I'm a trip adviser member and I've rated a few hotels. This is right up there with some of the best. JMCR

Room Tip: We always ask for non smoking and quiet. Haven't been disappointed yet.

The rooms do have some potential as you get a small kitchen and a patio with a BBQ. Would be a decent layout. Its what you'd expect out of a 90 dollar a night room. Everything looks like it was an afterthought when they installed it in. The bigger problem comes in the details and cleanliness of the rooms.

The staff don't seem to pay much attention to details. We arrived in our room and there is a black spot on the front pillow case first thing you see as you walk in. Impossible to miss unless the maids never actually looked at the bed after they made it. They have a keurig in the room but offer no k-cups, There is a spot for them but in the 2 days never gave us any. The cleaning staff the second day took our floor mat for the bathroom and never replaced with a new one. Also left a used cleaning rag sitting on our counter. Makes you wonder if they actually do clean anything properly their.

You get a TV that looks like a computer monitor from 6 years ago. maybe 17" . Only one bedside table and a big open space on the other side. There is no ironing board or iron in the room. You have to go to a cramped laundry room on the first floor where you have just enough room to stand and iron your clothes. The little fridge basically just froze everything we put in it which luckily for us was only drinks.

So needless to say my wife and I didn't feel it was the cleanest of places to say.

We're sorry that you did not enjoy our property. We are an older motel and constantly have to try to keep up with maintenance and we think we do a pretty good job at it.
We pride ourselves on our clean property. If a cleaning rag was left in the room, usually that would mean that a housekeeper was in fact in the room cleaning it. We apologize that they forgot things and this can happen as we train new people for our busy season.

If this hotel was in Downtown Vancouver, Denver, Seattle, etc, I'd give it a 3.5. But, it's in an older resort area with a bunch of similarly aged motels, so I'm giving it a 5. The unit was very clean, had just enough kitchen supplies for our use and a very large balcony. The area was being vacated after Victoria Day, so we showed up at just the right time. Tracy gave us the lake view room. I could have sat on the balcony and just watch people and the beautiful views all day, but eating oysters, drinking beer and training for a rugby match was much too important! Everything we needed was within walking distance, including the community center.
As for the staff, they were friendly, accommodating and easy going people who were very eager to tell us about the area, good places to eat and where to find a good Mocha (Blenz on Main) and places to stop on the way to Grand Forks (NK'MIP Cultural Center--ask for Jackie from St. George, Utah--our former home).
All in all, we had a very fun and relaxing stay at Tiki Shores. We will return and have suggested them to our friends from Vancouver.

Room Tip: Don't go on a Holiday if you want a "room with a view". Otherwise, just get out of yo...

Such a cute hotel! It may seem outdated form the front, but our room (1 bedroom) had updated flooring and furniture. Kitchen was a bit outdated, but we really only used the fridge.
Fantastic location along the beach on Lake Okanagan. There are fire pits, benches and tables along the beach as well. Loco Landing and the S.S. Sicamous are a short walk away.

Restaurants we visited: Kettle Valley Station Pub, Spice Magic, Saltys (all 3 are walking distance)
Breweries: Cannery Brewing, Barley Mill Pub, Tin Whistle (all 3 are in town)
Wineries: Lake Breeze (Naramata), Hillside (Naramata), Grey Monk (Winfield/Kelowna)

I stayed here before and it is fine. The person who checked me in this time was a bit surly though. Weird stain on the bedspread, have to do your dishes if you use one glass :/ it's very reasonably priced right on the beach and close to everything. Absolutely suitable for an inexpensive layover in the otherwise overly expensive okanagan valley. The sink in the bathroom was plugged and drained after about 5 minutes.

The best spot on the beach, really accommodating staff. The proximity to the beach can't be beat. It feels like you've travelled to California, boogey boarding on the waves, sinking into the sand and then walking across the street to the TIki Shores. heaven.
