as soon as we checked in the room was a mess. There was hair on the floor, bugs in the room, about a 3 inch x 2 inch gap in the wall straight to outside around the air conditioner, one crummy bowl and two crummy mugs, no toaster or dish cloth or detergent, the toilet didn't work, and we had to call in a maid to clean the gunk out of the fridge.. There was also no wifi password as we were told was provided in the room. When we went to ask for a toaster and dish detergent, they had no detergent and the toaster they gave us was absolutely atrocious; Covered in grease and we shook out about a handful of crumbs from inside it. Hotel fail level 10

Last minute reservation. Old run down place that they are trying to spruce up. Smells like smoke. Got a letter at check in stating that " renovations are not proceeding as quickly as anticipated and that they hope we will like it in the future". I asked what that meant and the lady shrugged her shoulders. Don't come here

We had a reservation at this Motel for 3 nights in July 2014 and booked through Booking.com.
Due to the Flood threat in Alberta, our friends had to cancel the reservations for us and themselves. We understood that less than 7 days notice, we would have to pay a first night charge. The reservations were cancelled and we were prepared to pay the penalty. A few hours later, we decided to keep our room for at least 1 night as we were going to pay for it anyway.(We live in the north okanogan). I call the lady to make this request and she said that it had nothing to do with her but with Booking.com. Interesting as Booking.com states in there email that they do not bill for the room but the motel does. The lady informed me that she did not know if they would get anything for the room or not!! Sorry, don't believe this statement. So I believe that , even without staying there I would be cautious and looking at the others experience, mine is a thumbs down as well.

Room Tip: Look at the reviews!!! Only selected a date because I had to.

Staying monthly in 2 weeks, the management got arrested they are always drunk and the female is on drugs, they have allowed needle pushers and other drug users in, the walls are super thin, right after that a person was randomly shot, DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE AS THE POLICE ARE HERE ON MANY OCCASIONS SOMETIMES UP TO 4 TIMES A NIGHT. Management digs through your garbage, you hear nothing but yelling and screaming all night long. Traffic all hours of the night. Will NEVER stay here again nor recommend to anyone. Run fast from here.

Room Tip: Choose a different motel

A little family run motel closer to Skaha lake down the hotel "strip" that is Skaha Lake Road. We checked in early so the room was not ready but they let us in to use the washroom and drop off our stuff. We also had a nice chat with the cleaning staff while there. Stay at this very basic hotel to sleep and save money. It is across the street from Marks Work Wearhouse and Timmy's is just down the street. It needs updating and is not spotless but the sheets were clean. AC is a box high up in the rear wall and kind of noisy as it had to go all night to cool off the room as it was 29 C outside that day.
