We stayed at the Penticton Lakeside resort for the last 4 nights of May 2012. We were delighted when we saw our Executive suite. It was my husband, myself and our dog. The bathroom was huge and the all the furniture very compfortable. We had a great view of the lake and facing a path with beautiful landscaping. The hotel itself was five star all the way with a couple of excellent restaurants. We had breakfast coupons and this was our favoutite meal of the day. I had salmon eggs benedict every morning and my husband tried lots of other things, all of which were very tasty. There was also a little dog beach just down the lake a little ways and our dog even had a great time playing with the other dogs. The weather was great and we met lots of other very nice people staying there to talk to. We will definately be back here again.

Absolutely love this place! The absolute best views and a wonderful beach. I highly reccomend a lake view room. The patio at the barking parrot is unbeatable and the staff there are so friendly, albight busy! But you could literally spend the whole day at the "Parrot', as it goes from casual patio lunch, to dinner and then a fun spot at night. I did eat at the Hood restaurant on more than one occasion as well, amazing food with alot of local touches to the menu. The pool inside is loud, good for kids, but who cares when you have such a clean lake and beach right in front. It is by far the best hotel to choose from in Penticton as it is directly on the beach and close to downtown. STAY HERE!

On the bright side, the location is great. On the downside, the rooms are dirty, noisy and the staff is all together not very helpful. There was mold in the grout in the bathroom, the room had a stale smell, the coffee maker is in the bathroom (nasty!) and the air conditioning didn't work. Would have opened the window, but my room was above the bar and noise which went until almost 1am was too much.

Don't waste your money. Stay anywhere else!

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. Although your comments were not as favorable as we would like, we do value and take all concerns very seriously. I'm sorry you were not completely satisfied with our staff and rooms. We work extremely hard to keep all aspects of the hotel at the highest standard at all times.

We do appreciate your honesty with regards to the lakefront location of the hotel as this is a completely unique feature of our property which we are truly proud of.

I would appreciate it if you would contact me directly to further discuss your unfavorable experience, to ensure correct measures are taken in addressing any possible problems. You can contact me at 250-493-8221 or via email at david@rpbhotels.com

Kind Regards,

The hotel is probably in the best location in the city,if not the valley The rooms are nice and the view of the valley is terrific, but there are two issues which need to be addressed.

A DJ spinning loud and annoying music around the patio in the afternoon and the food in the Hooded Merganser.

Sitting down to lunch and a beer on the patio can be painful when you have to listen to their selection of music and the volume at which it is played.

The Hooded Meganser is a beautiful restaurant in a terrific location but the quality of the food is substandard.

We ate with a local who warned us about the food and suggested that if we didn't want to be dissapointed, to order steak. We did as suggested and were still disappointed.

Clean Hotel and friendly staff. The Lake view is incredible. 3 great places on site for food and beverages. Cookies and apple were a nice touch. The business rooms are great for lots of inclusions, parking, breakfast, night snack, bottle water and wireless. For me it works. Take a west beach view if you are concerned about a little bit of noise from the bar.

Room Tip: Business class west beach view. This has less noise and nice view. Holidays 30 to 40 years old reg...

Although we stayed only one night, the hotel revealed its tired and worn out personality as soon as we checked in. The staff was friendly and professional but sadly our roon was simply not up to standard. The bathroom floor was chipped, the carpet worn, and worst of all, a pair of underwear from a previous guest was tucked under the bedspread. We had a view of the lake which was pleasant enough but the noise from other guests was disturbing. Breakfast was fine, but the overall impression was not. We will probably not stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to snag a room overlooking the lake. Otherwise it's the parking lot.

$128/night queen room overlooking the parking lot , plus $5 to park in an unsecured lot full of noisy drunks after dark. Broken floor tile in a rundown (but mostly clean) bathroom. Towels like sandpaper. Bashed in walls needing repair and paint. Noisy air-conditioner means either sleep or cooling, but not both. It's a casino, so any accommodation experience is secondary to catering to assorted lowlifes and gangsters. At closing time, the drunks exit the bar and casino, and the halls and parking lot come alive with shouting and screaming. You won't sleep well here! In the morning the cleaning crew are busy sweeping up broken glass from vehicles in the parking lot. Zero help from the staff to 'manage' these unruly people - waited over 45 minutes for a response to the running and yelling in the hallways at 2:30am - a horrible experience!
