After reading the motel website and then staying there,we were pleasantly surprised at how well done the renovations were in person. The Kitchenette suite was spacious and very clean. With the affordable price of the room, not only did we receive a very nice continental breakfast,we also took advantage of the complimentary transportation to the local wineries.(which saved us money on buying a wine tour)
Rob and his staff were very customer friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.
Recommended for all and we will definitely be back this summer

Thanks Eric, we may be a small motel, but we want everyone to enjoy their stay in Penticton. Glad you enjoyed the selection of wineries and the free transportation. As you know, the continental breakfast is something new we offer, something you don't normaly find in a small motel, it's a great way to start the day. Likewise with the rooms. The owner, Rob has spent the last few years renovating and updating the rooms to make them more comfortable. It suprises most people when they see the rooms, like the new full size appliances in most of the suites.
Thank you for your comments,
Rob, Kim and Keith

I booked a trip to penticton for my birthday party, and travelled from prince george and was a little nervous on making sure everything was perfect. I booked a room at the Lakeside Villa motel for 3 nights for me, my fiance and 4 kids. Wow the owner Rob is really nice as well as the managment team there. The room we stayed in was a kitchen suite and it was nice!! Clean and comfortable and everything we neded was there in the room for us. Rob was super cool about the kids and of course noise comes with kids... The rates were great and the environment was perfect for my family. There was this beautiful breakfast room also and wow so comfy and well gorgeous with a fireplace . The motel offers a complimentary ride around to check out the winerys neat right? so ya it was an amazing weekend and i would totally go back again thanks Rob and the Lakeside Villa staff

Thank you very much Crystal. Rob loves to show people around town. With being a small motel owner, he can get to know his guests and find out what they might like to do, like taking them to some of the award winning local wineries. Come during the summer, and we'll take you to the channel for tubing. Glad you liked the breakfast room and continental breakfast, it's a new feature we completed just before your arrival. The electric fireplace and TV, give it a homey feel, and is a nice way to start your day. Kids will be kids, yours we very polite when they came in for change for the pop machine, or wanted to purchase a chocolate bar or bag of chips in the office. We look forward to seeing you again.
Thank you, Keith

My wife & I booked this hotel hesitantly due mainly to the good reviews on this website. We will definitely return to Penticton, but we will not stay here again. The general cleanliness of the room was in our opinion, not good. The room is very basic, the furniture outdated, old, and for the most part does not appear clean, particularly the couch. The room as a whole needed refurbishing.

It was difficult to book the hotel online and we actually had to call to book the hotel. We were charged the full price up front upon arrival. The hotel is on native land according to the owner who is very friendly and gives great service/advice. The nearby beach is mostly unmaintained. The area of town in my opinion was not great.

Pros: Given the price if you are looking for a cheap place to stay, you could certainly do worse. It is near the Naramata Bench and the lake. That being said, if you can afford to pay a bit extra, it will probably be worth the extra money.

We are sorry to hear you were not happy with your room. If you had made us aware, we may have been able to move you to another if one was available. We provide a quality room at a reasonable cost for budget conscious customers who wish to be near a beach. Over the past years we have done continuous upgrades on our rooms, several each year. We do not have an online reservation system as we are a small 16 room motel. We prefer to speak directly with our guests to give them the best service and pricing.
Naramata beach is north of Penticton, we are on the south end of Penticton, on Skaha Lake, across the street from Airport beach, upgrades to the beach are planned with the new lakeshore rental business opening there.

Just wanted to say a huge thankyou to Rob at Lakeside Villa Motel in Penticton. My wife and I, plus three other couples were returning to Calgary after attending the Dave Matthews concert at the Gorge in Washington. Rob was able to accommodate us. The rooms were clean and included kitchenettes. This worked out really well because we were able to use the kitchenette facilities to supplement Rob's great barbecue area at the back of the property to cook ourselves an incredible "post concert" supper. The barbecue area was well-lit, clean and included two large barbecues and seating for our entire party of eight. There's even an illuminated dart board - great for passing the time 'til the steaks were done. Where Rob and his team really differentiated themselves was in a phone call I received advising me I had forgotten a jacket. As Rob knew we were from Calgary and was driving through Calgary the following day, he took down my particulars and dropped off the jacket at my house. This is service above and beyond what I'm accustomed to. Bottom line - for a great time with incredible, friendly hosts, do yourself a favour and stay at Rob and Ash's Lakeside Villa Motel - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Room #25 is close to the barbecue area - great for prepping food prior to putting it on the grill

I am from B.C. but living in Winnipeg now. I took my partner to B.C. this past summer and we camped, stayed with family and stayed in motels and hotels all through B.C. We had planned to camp across the street from Lakeside Villa, but after driving through the campgrounds we realized they were not exactly tent friendly. We were tired and I just pulled into the motel across the street to see if they had any vacancy and weren't outrageous in price. We had stayed at Ainsworth Hot Springs resort and the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver but I have to say, this was my favourite. The owner is so "real" and the beach is fantastic. We got a room with our own private little yard that I just loved! We will be back!

Room Tip: Room number eleven is the one to pick if you're there as a couple and want a bit of privacy.

This place is great! While not in the middle of downtown, it has a native beach across the street and the tubing river is walking distance! The owner is very accommodating, even driving us up river and letting us use his own tubes for a day on the river!
The rooms are nice, look newly remodeled, clean and no issues with noise, neighbors, etc.
Highly recommended to stay here!

Was there recently for Ironman Canada. Rob the owner made the entire stay without. He went out of his way to make sure we knew where to go, had all the information we needed, plus helped us out with our recreational day for river tubing. Not only did Rob let us use his tubes, he personally drove us to the beginning of the river (the end is conveniently down the street from the motel). This alone saved us $100! I'm sure no other motel owner in Penticton will personally drive you around. If you're there during the summer (Rob is only there two months), make sure you say hi to Rob!
