Our party of four recently booked a "vacation rental" at Skaha lake paradise resort. Our unit was independently owned and managed, whereas others, I believe, are independently owned, but managed through an agency. The complex itself was gated, very well maintained, and had lovely landscaping throughout. It's proximity to the lake was convenient, although the beaches could be better maintained in terms of grooming and cleanliness. (I believe this would be the responsibility of the town on Okanagan Falls, rather than any of the resort complexes). We choose to take the 10 minute drive into Penticiton to frequent Sudbury beach, or further along to Sun-Oka beach in Summerland. Both highly recommended! Skaha lake paradise resort had a nice, well-maintained outdoor swimming pool, which was a hit with the kids. There was a grocery store nearby , which was convenient. Our unit was a spacious 3-bedroom, ground floor condo with all the amenities needed (laundry, linens, bbq and air conditioning). Even in high season, one could not find a hotel or motel room nearby for less than the weekly rental charge for our unit. Definitely an excellent value and highly recommended!
