Our convention booked this place for a private winetasting, and it was delightful! With a little imagination you can put yourself back in time. You'll appreciate the modern cruise ship after seeing the small rooms of the past. The dining room was not large either, but you can get an idea about what life was like. I loved the flying buttress type supports for the ceiling. The rounded glass up front was impressive. The engine room and paddle apparatus is always an area to check out. Remember, we did this tour on our own with a glass of wine in hand. A tour guide would really have made this ship come to life.

Brilliant, what can transport and engulf the historic feel more that a museum in an old paddle wheeler that was used in the times that the history was made?
A great time reflecting on what life must have been like back then.

I was glad we got to see the museum so I know what a paddlewheel ship in the past looked like. We didn't have enough time to wait for the tour so we did the self guided one. It was okay but I think I would have gotten much more out of hearing a tour guide talk about the history as well as the ship restoration details--I hate standing around reading plaques.

Beautifully restored stern wheeler, one of only two remaining. Some great historical items. Great stories of the restoration. A fantastic model railway showing the local sights, including Myra Canyon.

Well priced entrance fee. Worth a visit

Great 2 hour walk around the ship. Kids enjoyed the model train on the main level and we enjoyed the history of the ship and the area. A must see IMO when visiting Penticton.
