I will start by saying that we visited Painted Rock Estate Winery back at the beginning of August 2013, but could not leave a review at that time as they were not yet listed on Trip Advisor.
We were on our 1st trip to Kelowna and area wineries and decided just to venture out and see where the car took us. That's how we ended up at Painted Rock. We thought we weren't in the right area as they were in the midst of building, but we were quickly told they had a temporary tasting room set up and were led inside. I had no problems that it was makeshift, we understand that wineries aren't built in a day, and were just glad to try the wines.
The representative was friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was good (sorry can't remember what the varietals were), but the prices were all around $40-$45 ish and we just weren't looking to spend that as an average on our bottles. I'm not against this price range but it just wasn't what we intended to spend on that jaunt of the trip. I'm hoping they will have more variety as they open and are more established.
With that said we will be back the next time we're in the area, which will hopefully be this summer/early fall.
