“Amazing meal and cool vibe”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

We went here on a Sunday for brunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The eggs Benedict I had was spectacular and very fresh. All ingredients were obviously chosen carefully, of high quality, and all hand made. Service was good and attentive. I bet this place would be really great for dinner especially in summer because the outdoor seating area was very neat. Lots of little alcoves and decks with outdoor heaters and a romantic and cool vibe. I hope we can make it back again!

“Voda restaurant disappointing”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

This is a new restaurant in Penticton and our first visit there was disappointing. The starters (eggplant and the blueberry pulled beef) were excellent but the entrees, save one, were poor. The grilled sable fish was done to perfection, but the seared duck breast was rubbery (probably fast-thawed) and tasteless. Our friends each ordered the "deporto striploin" which were tough and meagre in size. The service was not at all efficient: the waitress was surprised that we wanted plates to share our appetizers. Mid-way through our meals, the waitress turned up the lighting above our table, reminiscent of how bars signal "closing time." This did not make us feel too welcome. Our friend had to ask 4 times for her wine order. We hope that our dinners were symptoms of "growing pains" for this mom-and pop restaurant, and that the owners will eventually find their stride.
