So I was all ready to walk into the Sushi Hut, found it packed to standing room, and went walkabout for another restaurant. I found myself in a tiny Greek location called Kalo Donair. Quick overview—a donair is a Greek wrap using a thick pita not unlike an Indian naan. It is filled with various sauces and meats, commonly employing a doner kebab where meat is rotated vertical on a spit and shaved off. Tzatziki is used but often replaced with Caesar dressing. This long description results in something you can purchase for a few dollars less from Pita Pit. Yes, Kalo Donair’s signature meal is tastier, but its simplicity and delivery could use a little refinement.
Though $8.95 for a Caesar chicken donair is not a bad price, having it served in a brown paper bag with not a single side offering left me a little cold. The tables and chairs were mismatched and I had my napkins handed to me. I had to ask for water which was handed to me in a plastic cup. This is not a restaurant; it’s an outlet eatery meant for the food square of a mall. Next to a night club and surrounded by craft stores, a slight polish to the decor could be in order.
I would only frequent this location if I worked nearby and had no desire to make such food on my own. Considering I do, this was a one-time visit.

This family restaurant is tiny, and is easy to miss on 3rd. close to George. Don't let it fool you...business and governemnt people pick up their luncehes here regularly, and the staff are alwys kind and generous to the 'street' people

I've noticed their prices have increased a bit. They cater to the bar crowd, at least they know their market! ;)
