“Solid Value”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

When I say 'solid value' it's important to me as a weekly business traveler. I can stay in higher priced and newer properties but what's most important is pleasant and personal serivice. Rooms are average but they contain comfortable beds and good work spaces. The included breakfast is as good as any other property of this type. Bottom line: good value for the business traveler looking to be treated with courtesy.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back may be quieter - but even on the street is not a problem since there is little tra...

Came here for 2 weeks contract at University of Northern BC Hospital. After recent snowfall, streets and hotel precinct were treacherous for visitors. Sidewalks icy +++. Front desk staff helpful. Room good, quiet. Comfy pillows and bedding. Good size fridge, also microwave. Bath very easy in/out. Continental breakfast included. Spotlessly clean kitchen/dining area. Coffeemaker makes coffee a la carte. Parking free but somewhat tricky in ice and snowy conditions. Hockey arena 400 yds away. White Spot round the corner but we drove because of dangerous sidewalks. "Medical" price point excellent.

Room Tip: Rear of hotel preferred.

Just recently stayed and I was not very happy the hotel staff charged $200 deposit on a $95 room putting a preauthorization on my credit card for $300 the parking lot was so deep with snow that I had to use 4x4 just to park not impressed at all.

We stayed here for a night in October during a three week road trip. It was a great value for an overnight stay. There was covered parking, quiet rooms, and the restaurant next door was a nice surprise.

The bedding and and beds where top notch. Very comfy!
Overall a great value. Central location to almost everything you could want.
Pub around the corner is GREAT
Clean room with fridge, microwave and coffee pot
Suprisingly quiet for an old building

Room Tip: Could almost have "breakfast in Bed" if you stay in 206 right beside the Continental BFast...

When my first choice wasn't available on a recent trip, I begrudgingly chose the Travel Lodge. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I know it wasn't clean rooms, a good breakfast and pleasant staff - all of which I got! For the price, I would say they are one of the best options in town. You can pay more and get a nicer room elsewhere, but it was pleasant and certainly worth the money. I believe they are all independently owned and operated, so perhaps other locations clouded my view. All in all though, a good, comfortable space, and one where I will stay again if my first choice (a B & B) isn't available!

My husband and are currently staying here while I attend medical appointments. Our room is clean, the linens are newer, and fresh and clean. The pillows are fluffy and new as well. Even the towels are nice. While this hotel is older, it has been modestly updated and offers the comfort and convenience of a microwave and fridge in every room, which is especially appreciated for extended stays. The parking lot is small, but we haven't had a problem finding room for our full size truck. The continental breakfast is fairly standard, no fancy waffle machine, but great coffee and hot chocolate machine. Cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, instant oatmeal and fruit. Considering other hotels in town lay claim to be being fancy many of them lack the cleanliness, new linen and convenient location that this gem of spot has. Offering a significant discount for guest staying for medical reasons the travelodge is our new spot to stay!
