Good basic hotel for business travel in Prince George. Central downtown location, reliable internet, even a Starbucks in the lobby. The staff are friendly, complimentary valet parking, just park in front and hand keys to the front desk.

We stayed here on an overnight layover taking the train across Canada from Jasper to Prince Rupert. The hotel is an easy couple of blocks walk from the train station. This is where the train crew spend the night. The hotel itself is sort of an island of luxury in a pretty rough neighborhood. I wouldn't feel safe leaving the hotel after dark but the property itself felt very safe. Bed was great, room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good and you get a lot for your travel dollar here. Wasn't expecting such a nice stay and really wished we had half as good a room in several of the other places we stayed on this trip. Stay here!

I have to agree with all of the rave reviews since this hotel has had it's Reno's done. The rooms are fantastic. Yes, the building still has some old stairways etc. but all I really care about is a comfortable bed and a room that does not show years of use. Everything was great including the pub attached and all the great dining around the hotel. It's a downtown hotel so there are some less fortunate roaming the streets but even those people said hello! If you are intimidated by tight parkades, I would recommend you use the valet. I didn't have a problem but the parking is tight. I stay in PG quite a bit on business and this is my new favorite hotel for sure.

We were in a renovated room, that had a quirky feature that was quite lost on me.. You can see into the bathroom from the main room, but the wall turns opaque when the door is completely shut (we never did find out how to lock it). I suppose this is kind of neat, but they would have been father ahead in my opinion if they had made the wall sound and light proof (I was obliged to run the tap when using the toilet, and keep the light off when using the washroom at night). The road noise is loud, even on 4th floor, as is the noise from the hallway, which almost seemed to be amplified.. A pet peeve of mine is blackout curtains that are ludicrously ineffectual when they let in light from the sides because there is insufficient overlap around the sills. So I slept badly, and regretted forgetting my sleeping mask. I had to turn the A/C off as it was noisy and turning on and off every 5 minutes. The valet service took forever, and eventually I just asked for the keys (which took an age in itself for them to appear) and got the car myself. The food at the attached Coach's Corner was good, and the staff were pleasant. The room was clean and well-appointed.

Thank you for the review Doug Z. We are sorry to hear that your latest stay in the Ramada Prince George was not all you had hoped it would be. For future stays, may I recommend trying one of our Junior Suites. These rooms do not have the Magic Glass. In addition, the curtains and AC are different in these rooms, so may be more to your liking. We are happy to hear that you were happy with the rest of your stay and look forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Prince George.
