My wife and I spent two nights with our three year old daughter at Honeysuckle Cottage in early July. Its really off the beaten path (even for an Island that itself is off the beaten path). But that's what made it great for us.
The cottage is surrounded by moss and forest and amazingly very few bugs! Every morning there were deer munching around our cottage.
It has a great deck to lounge on and all the facilities you need (great kitchen, good selection of DVDs, lots of interesting books to read, very clean). They also give you everything you need for a nice breakfast (eggs, tea, cereal, honey, jam, bread, yogurt, some fruit).
We met Teri, one of the owners, and she provided us with great tips on trails to visit. One in particular, Dunbabin, was amazing, and we wouldn't have thought of it ourselves. The binder full of hikes and information was also very useful.
Two minor complaints: the pullout couch isn't that comfortable to sleep on and it would be nice if they had a standard sized BBQ. But those are pretty small things and we would definitely come back.More
