My wife and I watch spring arrive from the lake shore. Beautiful cabin on the lake with flowers and leaves all magnificently blooming just at the right time. The weather was sunny and beautiful except for the last 2 days of our 2 week vacation.

Very relaxing - beautiful cabin, Really enjoyed it - would recommend for any couple or family with kids. The hosts were terrific.

Room Tip: All the cabins were nice - but would definitely recommend cabln right on the lake.

It is so wonderful for you to point out the how magnificent the surroundings are at Cusheon Lake Resort. Earlier in the spring the daffodils were blooming in the garden and along the lake shore. Now the wild yellow iris are blooming amongst the reeds at the lake's edge and the cat mint and lavender are bursting into colour in the garden. The tall daisies are waving in the breeze around the grounds and the flowers of the little daisies light up the lawn all around.

First of all Cusheon "lake" is more a pond and "resort" is a bit of a stretch... Nice people. Quiet but crowded setting. Accommodations were basic but adequate and pleasant. Okay place to spend a few days.

Well, maybe in the big, wide world Cusheon Lake could be viewed as a pond, but on our little Salt Spring Island it is the second largest lake. At one kilometer in length and several kilometers in shoreline, Cusheon Lake is enjoyed by paddlers and swimmers; and bird and animal life and it provides much needed fresh water to many homes in the area. The 16 cabins occupying Cusheon Lake Resort's 4 acres were thoughtfully built for lake views and the natural landscape. The resort will remain this way without further development for the enjoyment of all guests.

The location of the resort is truly idyllic, nestled between the trees right on the lake. The chalets look rustic, but once inside are warm, comfortable, and have everything you need (including Wifi). We had a wonderful stay with friends. The best part of this resort is the customer service provided by Tom and the others at Cusheon Lake Resort. We became snowed into the resort so were unable to get one of our vehicles out as the road leading to the resort wasn't being plowed. Tom gave us so many options to help us out and was more than open to us leaving our car at the resort until the following weekend. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely stay at the resort again!

Well, there is no chance of snow now at Cusheon Lake Resort. In fact, it is time for swimming. The lake is serene with 'no motor boats allowed' so you may choose to swim from the beach to the raft or around to one of the docks or to the other end of the lake. Thank you for reviewing the resort and we look forward to seeing you for your next visit.

We really enjoyed the well equipped cabin, especially the firewood and fireplace! The forest and the lake were serene.
Friendly and easily accessible to north and south island adventures.
Looks like a great family resort, even had some paddle boards.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the serenity of Cusheon Lake Resort, which is a great place to visit in any season. The spring season has been so pretty with the snowdrops and the daffodils blooming. Now the camellias and rhododendrons are bursting into bloom and the lilacs are greening up for their debut. The lake is like a sheet of glass most mornings, so lovely for a quiet paddle...

This extremely well run and well kept lakeside resort provided a very peaceful weekend retreat. Not very far from Ganges, the resort is a little off the beaten path, but very well signed from the main road. The cabins are very comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The cabin we stayed at had a wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood refills every day. Our very sincere thanks to Tom and Judy who clearly have done a superb job with their resort, and also to Thomas, who provided outstanding service from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: It looked like there wasn't a "lesser" option at the resort - all cabins appear in gre...

It is so rewarding to hear such words of praise for Cusheon Lake Resort. Tom and Judy will be thrilled to pass this review onto Thomas and to the superb housekeeping staff at the resort. We hope many people read this review and choose to spend a little time here soon in a comfortable, exceptionally clean log cabin with wood-burning fireplace!

We spent our first weekend getaway at Cusheon Lake Resort mid Nov 2013. The information on the website was helpful in planning our trip over from Victoria. Judy was such a warm and gracious host upon arriving at the resort. Within a few minutes we felt right at home. Our cabin had everything we required for meal preparation and sufficient space for personal belongings. The resort grounds were lovely and the owner's Black Lab (Lulu) was an equally lovely companion during a walk around the resort. The cabin itself was rustic and contained a personal artistic touch which made it feel warm and inviting to new guests.
The hot tub was well taken care of and Judy was able to accommodate our request for a cabin nearby the hot tub so we wouldn't have to walk too far. A canoe ride around the lake is a must while staying here! A big thank you to the owners for making our stay such a peaceful and memorable experience. We will definitely come back again soon. Best Wishes, N and D

Isn't that sweet that you noticed and commented on the 'personal artistic touches'. Many of our cabins have framed photographs of Cusheon Lake Resort and Salt Spring Island by Kai Vogt. Great to know that we reached one of our goals this year-to enhance the presentation of the cabins by updating the artwork hanging on the walls!!!
"Peaceful and memorable" - we hope many more guests come to Cusheon Lake Resort to experience just that!

We just spent a weekend in one of the log cabins (#4) at Cusheon Lake Resort, and found it was just as good as advertised. Calm, quiet, and comfortable. The cabins were bright, clean and warm, as were Tom & Judy. Canoeing & fishing around the lake made for a great morning, and day trips to nearby trails at Ruckle Park & Burgoyne Bay are a great reminder why so much of the region is so full of artists and people looking to get away from it all.
