“Wonderfully quiet, comfortable and elegant.”

My wife, daughter and I spent 5 nights in this wonderful cottage. The cottage was comfortable and elegant. It was a very relaxing experience. At low tide, we would take the short walk to the water and explore for sea life. As a base of operations, we drove around Salt Spring Island visiting the various artists and artisans. The cottage would be a great getaway for one couple, two couples or a small family (one or two kids). Highly recommended.

“Amazing place....”
Reviewed 31 May 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We had an amazing time on Salt Spring. We are a couple with a young daughter. We enjoyed the walks from the cottage to the beach every day. The owners also showed us all kinds of places to check out. Lots of great birds, eagles, an otter and the frogs in the wetland put us the sleep every night. We even saw killer whales on the ferry trip over – wow!!! The place was amazing, brand new and very clean. The washing machine was great after a day of digging at the beach. Great experience to be had by all.

“Hidden gem on gorgeous water front property.”
Reviewed 31 May 2011 for a stay in November 2010

This gorgeous, cozy cabin is a hidden gem on this island. So many thoughtful details have been included to make it extremely comfortable and luxurious. The covered deck is almost as big as the interior. A short path leads you to a sheltered, shallow bay with the warmest water around the island. There are walking/hiking trails nearby. Short drive to Vesuvius with the best fish and chips ever. The hosts are friendly and gracious. The only reason this place isn't booked solid is it's brand new and the word hasn't gotten around yet. You will not be disappointed.

“No need to "rough it" at Steps to the Sea.”

Decided to try Steps to the Sea on the recommendation of a former renter. This place is fabulous! Gorgeous, small cottage complete with two bedrooms with ensuites, stainless steel fridge, stove, microwave, top-of-the-line washer and dryer. Leather furniture in living room with large-screen TV. Very large patio, which has seating and a large BBQ. Lovely walk down to the lake and around property. Hear frogs and see deer! Owners did a great job incorporating manmade environment with nature. And..only 10 minute drive to Ganges, which has all kinds of restaurants, grocery stores, surprisingly-sophisticated shopping and even a hospital! Everything you want or need is here.
