“Stunning view and great location!”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

The Paddler's Inn was my favourite place to stay during a recent trip to BC. Its great location smack-dab in the centre of Tofino town-site and it's beautiful view of the harbour from both the room and the main kitchen area.
Despite being the oldest inn in Tofino, it is very well maintained. It is cozy and quaint. The squeaky floorboards were the only drawback.
Also, you get a discount on kayaking when you stay with them.
Honestly, can't go wrong with this accommodation.

Room Tip: Pick an ocean-side room!

We just returned home from two nights in Tofino. The Paddlers Inn was perfect for our group of eight (two families of four). We rented all of the rooms although we could have gotten away with less we wanted the place to ourselves.

All the rooms have different combinations of sleeping arrangements. The beds are futons and are really comfortable. Room one has two single beds and a double loft bed, room three has a double bed and a fold out which is also a double, rooms four and five have double beds, room six has two singles. There is one bathroom upstairs as well as a toilet and shower downstairs. Each room has a set of towels but you need to bring your own soap, shampoo etc.

The kitchen has a full fridge and stove as well as microwave and kettle and coffee maker. This is a shared kitchen and there are areas to keep your food separate from the others. There was fresh fruit on the kitchen table but we were not offered a breakfast like mentioned in other reviews.

There is a grocery store, liquor store, as well as restaurants and bakeries all an easy walk from the Inn. The main pier is also just down the road which is a great place to view the sunset.

There is a small store downstairs that also serves espresso and a few bakery items. They make a great cappuccino. There is a small porch at the back over looking the water where you can sit and enjoy your morning cup.

You can also organise sea kayaking here (Tofino Sea Kayaking). We did a two and a half hour evening tour which we really enjoyed.

I have read in another review that says some people seem to be mixing this Paddlers Inn with another and I agree.

This Paddlers Inn is a great location, looks like this pictures, we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms three and four face the water, rooms one, five and six face the road although it is so quiet i...

First of all the room looks nothing like this picture provided. But the rooms are clean. The windows need some cleaning so you could enjoy the beautiful view. Just amazing to wake up with such a grand view. The staff was great!

The Paddlers Inn is a very nice B&B, the rooms are nicely decorated, the location in Tofino is great. The view from the room was great and it is nice to get up with this view. There are two rooms with the view. I would advise booking one of these if available unless you are sensible to noise the water planes are taking off right in front of the hotel but the noise is not so loud and it was not a problem at all for us. The breakfast is ok. The staff is friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Paddlers.

I'll start this review by saying that I am not a difficult person to please and my trip types tend towards basic accomodations. That said, I found the Paddlers Inn to fit my requirements:
1. Clean room: no problem with the room. It was clean, well-maintained and secure.
2. Basic breakfast: Breakfast is a serve-yourself affair. They provide plain cereal, plain bread, plain fruit and the usual condiments. That suits me just fine. If you prefer something more substantial this may not suit you as well.
3.Location: The location is great. The back side of the Inn overlooks the water. The inn itself is in the main part of town so it doesn't take long to get anywhere.
4. Friendly: The owners were friendly and willing to help with any problems.

In closing, the only thing that I did not get with these accomodations was a good indoor common room to relax at the end of the day. Otherwise, I would not hesistate to recommend this Inn.

We have been coming here for several years always to be met with the utmost in hospitality. The owners are open, honest, generous people who truly love the area they have spent most of their lives homesteading. We could not have had a better time. The rooms are simple but well-provided and the setting simply stunning. So much to do, always wish we had more time. Be warned many of the reviews here do not pertain to Travellers Inn but some other inn near Tofino. This should be corrected.

My daughter and I had a two night stay along with a 4 hour kayak tour. We found the Paddler's Inn to be very clean and comfortable. Being the end of the season the Inn was quiet and only half full. We certainly had no problem with shared facilities. We enjoyed our dinner and bottle of wine on the deck with a gorgeous view of the harbour and Clayoquot sound. Great coffee downstairs and friendly hosts. Walking distance to restaurants, theatre, museum and other attractions. Comfortable beds and a real west coast ambiance. Would recommend for an enjoyable getaway.
