The trip is pricey but worth it. Time in the Hot Spring was around 3 hrs. The captain gave us many information on the wildlife on the trip and stopped so we could observe eaggles, whales and purpose.

Four of us were fortunate today to head out looking for whales. Martin was a fantastic Captain and passed on to us his knowledge on wildlife and the islands. He was never rushed, calm ( matching today’s sea) and found us a Tufted puffin! We were all so excited including our Captain! Grey whale came to see us too! The online booking, check in, safety brief all very friendly and efficient! Thanks guys!

Ocean Outfitters were well organized and helpful. Zodiac was best for the bear watching trip and we were provided with warm flotations outfits plus rain capes. We took the covered boat up to the hot springs the next day (recommended if you have any back issues) and it was marvellous also. Both the boat trips had great driver guides and the plane ride back from the Hotsprings was in a de Havilland Beaver, built in 1954 (Tofino Air), again with a professional, helpful and interested pilot. Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. Thank you Ocean Outfitters.

We thought the prices were good for what we received.
We saw quite a few bears, plus eagles, seals on the bear-watching trip and learned a lot about the habits of the bears. it was also very beautiful, even though we had light drizzle that morning for at least part of the trip. It didn't matter. On the trip up to the hot springs, we saw a humpback whale and lots of other sea life.

This was our first trip to Tofino and whale watching on the west coast. The boat was very comfortable and not over booked. Comfortable for standing up and taking pictures. Thanks to our incredible guide Ky who keep up a fun fact filled monologue as well as answered the numerous questions we all asked. He was fabulous. We saw 3 grey whales a humpback whale and 2 sea otters. The ocean got a little rough at times. It did not bother me but there was a couple of people who got sea sick. May I suggest you replace your paper bags with the waxed type on planes. Makes it much more comfortable for all and more dignified for those using them. Being sick is one thing but when the bag leaks or breaks its not so much fun for anyone.

Our guide, Kai, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything we saw. Early on, we watched an osprey catch a fish then went on to see bears and a cub, harbour seals, bald eagles and a Californian sea lion. We were so lucky with the weather- flat calm, warm and sunny but we were still glad to have flotation suits as it is still cold on the water as the zodiac goes so fast. A great trip, highly recommended.
